Goku is someone no one would want to go up against. He has been able to come up with some incredible transformations over the years and none have received better feedback than the autonomous Ultra Instinct. Dragon Ball Super's Tournament of Power saga gave the fans a glimpse of what Goku's ultimate form might look like and it's fair to say that it didn't disappoint.
With the transformation, Goku was able to surpass several God-like figures and it isn't a surprise that fans want to see him fight some of the best supervillains of different universes. Imagine what would happen if Ultra Instinct Goku ever fought Thanos, without the Infinity Gauntlet, from the Marvel Comics? Here's a prediction of how the fight might go.
10 Ultra Instinct Goku: Strength
This is a very difficult comparison. After going Ultra Instinct, Goku can put all of the stuff going on in his brain in the back seat and just concentrate on hitting his opponent harder than before. Thanos, on the other hand, is an Eternal and his strength has been too much for the likes of Thor and Hulk.
Still, due to the intense training sessions, Goku has gone through over the years, it has to be said that he might edge the battle of strength.
9 Thanos: Invulnerable To The Point Of Immortality
Thanos' connection to Death is nothing new and over the years, he has gone from being nigh-invulnerable to immortal. He is very difficult to hurt. So much so that his skin is almost impenetrable. If Goku wants to inflict some pain on Thanos, he has to use his Ultra Instinct form wisely and attack him for his weaknesses rather than anywhere else.
It could very well turn out to be the case that even after fighting for an hour, Goku isn't even able to get a drop of blood out of Thanos' body.
8 Ultra Instinct Goku: Speed
Both Thanos and Goku can travel at a speed faster than light but that's when they are traveling from one place to another. During a battle, it's a different story altogether, and again, Goku's martial arts expertise comes into play here.
Moreover, the longer Goku uses the Ultra Instinct form, the faster he gets and he is capable of dodging every attack the Mad Titan would throw at him. Thanos would have to work very hard to match Goku stride for stride. Still, the Marvel supervillain would likely fail.
7 Thanos: Regeneration
Being an Eternal, Thanos' regenerative abilities are otherworldly. He can repair tissue damages like it's nothing. Comparatively, Goku's regenerative skills come nowhere near. The Z-Fighter requires a Senzu Bean to get back up on his feet.
The only thing that could potentially work in Goku's favor is the fact that while Thanos' body can repair tissue damage in an instant, the same cannot be said about his organs. If Ultra Instinct Goku can somehow find a way to hurt Thanos's organs, he might be able to inflict some real pain on the Mad Titan.
6 Ultra Instinct Goku: Reflexes
There are certain things that happen to Goku as soon as he goes Ultra Instinct. The biggest thing is that he can act on instinct rather than emotion, meaning every bit of senses is heightened to the point where his body can predict the opponent's movements.
Therefore, his reflexes to a neutral would look like something out of this world. It's so good that Thanos might not be able to win this fight on hand-to-hand combating skills due to Goku's reflexes being good enough to evade the Mad Titan's punches.
5 Thanos: Telepathy And Atomic Matter Manipulation
This is where the advantage lies for Thanos. While he might not be able to fight Goku with his martial arts skills, he can certainly peg him back using his other incredible superpowers. The Mad Titan is a telepathic being, who can take control of others' minds, but he hasn't mastered it yet meaning someone strong enough can resist it.
Furthermore, Thanos can also manipulate matter at an atomic level. Again, this is a skill he hasn't gotten grips with but he can use it as a clear advantage in the fight.
4 Ultra Instinct Goku: Energy Manipulation And Blasts
Energy manipulation is something the Saiyans do well. They have incredible control over their energy and with Ultra Instinct, it goes a level higher. Goku's signature move, the Kamehameha, has the resources to destroy a planet and it would most certainly hurt the Mad Titan even if it strikes him from afar.
The moving Kamehameha that Goku loves to use in his Ultra Instinct form is much harder to dodge and can hit Thanos head-on pushing him back in the process.
3 Thanos: Genius-Level Intellect
Thanos is someone who always looks at the bigger picture, unlike many other villains. He has almost every scenario pre-planned and against Ultra Instinct Goku, it wouldn't be anything different. The Mad Titan would study Goku extensively and try to come up with a plan that best guarantees him the victory.
Goku, on the other hand, isn't that good of a strategist and as a result, he takes some time to get used to his opponent.
2 Ultra Instinct Goku: Ever Increasing Power
The Saiyans have a knack of getting stronger and stronger as the battle goes on. In fact, the autonomous Ultra Instinct was triggered due to the very fact that Jiren was smashing Goku to bits in his Super Saiyan Blue form.
So even if the Mad Titan can overpower Goku, that wouldn't necessarily guarantee him victory. Goku could easily find a greater power or a better version of Ultra Instinct to gain control over the fight.
1 Winner: Ultra Instinct Goku
This fight's winner would be very tough to predict but considering everything at play here, Ultra Instinct Goku is the favorite. His speed, reflexes, and agility are so good that Thanos might not be able to land a punch on him and that in itself is a huge advantage to have.
If Goku can dodge or resist the Mad Titan's telepathic and atomic manipulation, he might be able to get rid of him quite easily, to say the least.
