The Tokyo Game Show is in full swing this week, and Marvel is keeping fans entertained with tons of new information regarding "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3," including new officially revealed fighters, special collector's art and a new platform that will make fighters accessible to players on the go. Capcom also released brand new cinematic trailer created for the latest fighter to carry the "Marvel vs. Capcom" mantle featuring Hulk, Ghost Rider, Hawkeye and a handful of other characters in a beautiful, slow-motion vignette featuring glorious action and awe-inspiring combat.

Vergil and Iron Fist join "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3"

The first of the new fighters officially revealed by Capcom is Vergil, a swordsman first introduced in the "Devil May Cry" series. He has much in common with Dante, who appeared in the original "Marvel vs. Capcom 3." Like Dante, Vergil carries a sword and pistols but prefers his demonic powers to his human ones, making him devastating in combat.

Representing the Marvel side of the game, the other newly announced character is Iron Fist. Danny Rand AKA The Immortal Iron Fist. Created by Roy Thomas and Gil Kane in 1974's "Marvel Premiere" #15, Iron Fist followed the '70s wave of martial arts-based superheroes and recently returned to prominence in 2007 when writers Ed Brubaker and Matt Fraction brought the hero back and strengthened his legacy along with Artist David Aja before handing the reigns over to Duane Swierczynski and Travel Foreman. In the upcoming game, Iron Fist utilizes a powerful array of punch and kick attacks, along with the mystical Iron Fist power that gives his techniques a much-appreciated boost of energy.

The game also features a reversible cover by Marvel's Mark Brooks

These character reveals weren't the only "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" reveals at the show, however. During a Sony press conference, Capcom confirmed the game would be released for the PlayStation Vita handheld system when it launches in Japan this December (with a U.S. release to follow next year). All of the characters from the console version will be included in the game, and players will be able to challenge one another via Wi-Fi, leaving no shortage of fighting competition for busy gamers on the go.

Capcom also delivered one final treat for those who pick up "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom" 3 at release. The game will come with a special reversible art cover printed on the inside of the slip drawn by "Uncanny X-Force" artist Mark Brooks. The cover showcases a number of fighters featured in the game. What's surprising are the new faces that have not been officially unveiled yet, including Rocket Raccoon and the legal master Phoenix Wright (from the eponymous "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" on Nintendo DS). We'll learn more about those characters -- and others -- as Capcom officially adds them to the game.

"Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" ships November 15 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with a planned PlayStation Vita release in the U.S. sometime next year.
