Ubisoft Forward 2021, the publisher's annual showcase of its upcoming games, has provided fans with a peek at what to expect in the future.

Held in collaboration with E3 2021, Ubisoft unveiled new trailers and gameplay footage for Assassin's Creed: ValhallaRainbow Six: Extraction and Far Cry 6. Here is everything that was announced during Ubisoft Forward 2020.

Rainbow Six: Extraction Gameplay Trailer

The next chapter in the Rainbow Six franchise, Extraction puts a sci-fi twist on the game's tactical gameplay. The cinematic trailer shows off the Extraction team which is tasked with eliminating alien life forms and rescuing civilians in danger. A variety of unique class abilities and tools were highlighted, as well as a mixture of enemy types that players will need to defeat.

Extraction is a 1-3 player experience where players will need to unite against the alien forces. Players can unlock new weapons by playing the game. Operators from Rainbow Six: Siege are returning for Extraction, albeit with tweaked abilities. Operators will make use of both familiar and new abilities. If a player fails a mission, their operator will be taken by the alien force; to regain access to the operator, players will need to undergo a unique mission to rescue them.

Rainbow Six: Extraction will support cross-play at launch. Players will have to use a mixture of tactical stealth and all-out gunplay to succeed in their missions as they avoid alerting enemies. The game launches on September 16. More information on the game will be released soon.

Rocksmith+

A new iteration of Ubisoft's widely utilized rhythm game and learning program, Rocksmith+ will function as a new platform for users to develop their skills more efficiently. A constantly growing library, guided videos and note detection are all designed to take Rocksmith to the next level.

Rocksmith+ is described as an "interactive music learning app." Uses can use their phones as a microphone to make learning more accessible. The game will feature a massive library of music with each song including a dedicated chord sheet. Ubisoft describes the library as the "most diverse" catalog seen in a music learning program. Rocksmith+ is a subscription service and fans can register to join the closed beta on June 12.

Rider's Republic

The massive multiplayer sports game announced by Ubisoft in 2020, Rider's Republic will allow players to embark on a variety of extreme sports endeavors. The game will include a variety of game modes, and players will be able to create their own unique riders. Snowboarding, mountain biking, hang gliding and many more activities will be included in the base game.

Players can unlock new vehicles, cosmetics and emblems by playing the game and completing challenges. If competition isn't on the menu, players can choose to explore the world at their leisure. The game launches on September 2.

Rainbow Six: Siege

Ubisoft confirmed that Year 6 of Rainbow Six: Siege has seen the game hit 200,000 concurrent players. During Ubisoft Forward, the developers on the tactical shooter announced a variety of quality-of-life improvements. Crossplay will be implemented between PlayStation and Xbox in early 2022 and cross-progression will be implemented in the same time frame.

Ubisoft also confirmed that the newest operator to come to Rainbow Six: Siege is Thunderbird, who was revealed through a brief cinematic trailer.

Various Live Service Updates

Some of the included updates include the addition of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in Brawlhalla and a new expansion for Watch Dogs: Legion starring previous series protagonists Aiden Pierce and Wrench.

Ubisoft also confirmed more updates for Ghost Recon: Breakpoint.

Just Dance 2022

Just Dance is back with the latest iteration of the dancing game. Todrick Hall is confirmed to be working on the project; Hall has produced a completely original song for Just Dance 2022. The game launches on November 4.

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla

Assassin's Creed: Valhalla provided a peek at the game's future updates, including new game modes and fan-requested additions. One-handed swords will be added to the game in the near future. The next expansion for Valhalla will focus on the Siege of Paris. It will include a new map and Black Box missions will make a return. New enemies, gear and weapons will be included in the Siege of Paris, which launches this summer.

Ubisoft will continue support for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla throughout its second year. The game's discovery tour mode will launch in the fall.

Mythic Quest

A sneak peek of season 2 of Mythic Quest was shown.

Werewolves Within

Ubisoft provided fans with a new trailer for the upcoming Werewolves Within feature film. The movie debuts on June 25.

 Far Cry 6

A new trailer for the upcoming shooter Far Cry 6 highlights the game's protagonist Dani Rojas. Giancarlo Esposito makes an appearance as the game's villain Anton Castillo as he exposes a group of underground revolutionaries. Within the trailer, Castillo discovers his son has been attempting to hide within the rebellion group, resulting in mass punishments.

Ubisoft also announced Far Cry 6 DLC which will allow players to take control of some of the series iconic villains, including Vaas, Pagan Min and Joseph Seed. The DLC will provide a look into the minds of these characters and attempt to explain their actions. Ubisoft also teased something to do with Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Mario + Rabbids: Sparks of Hope

The sequel to the Nintendo/Ubisoft crossover game released in 2017, a cinematic trailer showcased the game's new location, characters and weapons. Alongside reoccurring characters like Mario and Princess Peach, Rabbid Rosalina will make her debut in the franchise and new allies Sparks will assist players in their adventure.

Sparks of Hope looks to add more action elements to its turn-based strategy gameplay. The game will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch in 2022.

Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora

A cinematic trailer for a new Avatar game closed out Ubisoft's showcase. The game will be powered by the Snowdrop Engine. The trailer showed combat from both humans and Na'vi. Humans will wield a variety of high-powered weaponry while Na'vi will make use of the animals and plants of Pandora. The game launches in 2022.
