Originally released between 2015 and 2016, Assassin's Creed Chronicles deviated from the franchise's typical 3D open-world template. Instead, Chronicles is a 2D side-scrolling action/platform trilogy that tells the stories of three members of the Assassin Brotherhood from three different countries -- and three different periods of history.

Taking place shortly after the 2011 short film Assassin's Creed: Embers, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China follows the story of the prodigal assassin Shao Jun. After her training under the Italian assassin Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Shao Jun returns to her homeland of China in the year 1526 to exact vengeance against the Eight Tigers, a Templar group responsible for the Chinese sect of the Assassin's Brotherhood. The story of the game inspired the manga Assassin's Creed: Blade of Shao Jun, the first volume of which released in February of this year.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India takes place in 1841 and follows protagonist Arbaaz Mir from the graphic novel Assassin's Creed: Brahman. Amidst the war between the Sikh Empire and the East India Company, a master Templar arrives in India with mysterious item that used to belong to the Assassin Order, and Mir is tasked with stealing it back and protecting his people.

Finally, Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Russia takes place in 1918 during the aftermath of Russia's October Revolution. Nikolai Orelov, star of the comic book mini-series Assassin's Creed: Subject Four, must infiltrate a stronghold of the Bolsheviks to obtain an artifact for the Assassin Order so that he may flee the country with his family and find his peace.

In addition to the Assassin's Creed Chronicles games, players can claim in-game rewards for Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, and Far Cry 6. Players can also enter a sweepstakes for a chance to win up to $1,000 USD in Ubisoft Wallet Rewards, and they can pick up games like Valhalla, Immortals: Fenix Rising and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege at discounted prices in the Ubisoft store.
