The feud is now apparently over, however, following a reported 'heart to heart' with an associate of Johnson's. In his most recent post to Instagram, the star says an associate of Johnson's called him, and they were able to work some things out.

Tyrese added that his story will not change with regards to his personal feelings toward Johnson, however he is excited for the future of the Fast and Furious franchise now that Justin Lin is returning. "My story will never change I was never DJ’s Co-Star... I’m Shayla’s Father first....," Gibson said. "Justin Lin is back in the driver seat that’s exciting cause it going to feel like the true #FastFamily all over again..... When we see Justin we see Paul....."
