The CW's Man of Steel is headed back to space in the Netflix drama, Another Life.

Netflix announced Tyler Hoechlin (Supergirl), Justin Chatwin (Orphan Black), Samuel Anderson (Doctor Who) and Elizabeth Faith Ludlow (The Walking Dead) have joined the cast of Another Life. The four new cast members will join the previously announced Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica) and Selma Blair (Hellboy).

Another Life tells the tale of astronaut Niko Breckinridge (Sackhoff) who is focused on searching for alien intelligence and leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. Unfortunately, as Niko and her young crew investigate, they find themselves facing unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.

Hoechlin is set to play Ian Yerxa, the former commander of The Salvare space explorations ship, who loses the post to Niko. Chatwin is set to play Erik Wallace, part of the United States Interstellar Command, dedicated to finding intelligent life in the universe and husband of Commander Niko Breckenridge (Sackhoff). As for Anderson, he'll play a character named William who is described as a holographic interface of a sentient A.I. -- a new form of life with the knowledge of all humanity at his disposal. Ludlow is set to play Cas Isakovic, Niko’s second-in-command and staunchest ally, filled with courage and moral conviction.

Along with confirming the four new cast members, Netflix also announced television director Omar Madha will helm the first two episodes of the ten-episode series. Madha previously directed episodes of The 100, Scorpion, and 24: Live Another Day.
