Twilight's Cam Gigandet Saddles Up For TNT Western Gateway

Pandorum star Cam Gigandet will play one of the leads in TNT's Western pilot Gateway, The Live Feed reports.

Given a cast-contingent order last month, the action-adventure is set in 1880s Colorado, where the three sons of a murdered sheriff seek to avenge their father by confronting a corrupt cattle baron who wants to make their small town -- the titular Gateway -- his own. Gigandet will play brother Jake.

Bruce C. McKenna (The Pacific, Band of Brothers) will serve as an executive producer for the drama, from Warner Horizon Television. Danny Cannon (CSI, Dark Blue) will executive produce and direct the pilot. If Gateway is picked up, it will join a TNT lineup that includes The Closer, Rizzoli & Isles and Falling Skies.

The 29-year-old Gigandet, who played the vampire James in Twilight, most recently appeared in Priest. Gateway would mark his first television role since The O.C. in 2006.
