In 2012, the last entry in Twilight's blockbuster film series hit the big screen. Twilight: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 explored the final chapter in Bella Swan and Edward Cullen's forbidden romance and ensured that the Cullen family were finally out of harm's way.

With the never-ending stream of reboots and revivals debuting recently, it's hard not to wonder where the glittery vampires created by Stephenie Meyer in 2005 are today. Although The Twilight Saga adapted the entire YA fantasy romance book series written by Meyers, Twilight star Jackson Rathbone imagined where the Olympic Coven could go next during an interview with CBR. Rathbone would love the Cullens to face their own "M-Day."

Rathbone starred as Jasper Hale in the Twilight film series from 2008-2012, the lifelong mate of Alice Cullen and empathetic friend of Bella. When asked by CBR where he imagines Jasper is today, Rathbone shared, "That's funny because I've actually talked to some of my co-stars about it recently -- Ashley Greene Kellan Lutz and I did a fan convention together in Chicago... Let me preface this by saying I'm a comic book nerd. I grew up on X-Men, and one of my favorite comic storylines is when the X-Men all lose their powers, so I thought that would be a fascinating element to see what would happen like that in the Twilight [film] universe."

"If a vampire came about that could strip every one of their pure powers, and suddenly the playing field was leveled, and you have all the vampires on the run from the government to kind of tie it into a more supernatural sense of vampires being hunted," he continued. "Going from the apex predator to no longer the apex predator and seeing how that would affect the Cullens. I thought that would be a fantastic storyline to explore in the future."

Following Marvel's Scarlet Witch-focused comic series The House of M, the Marvel Universe crafted the "Decimation" event. During the Marvel event, the X-Men and several of Marvel's formerly superpowered heroes faced the aftermath of Scarlet Witch stripping mutants of their powers -- and wiping out 98% of all mutants in the process too. The tragic day in Marvel history is known as "M-Day," and paved the way for several tie-ins and creative takes on what happens when heroes lose the powers they know best.

In Twilight lore, vampires usually receive an additional and unique superpower. Bella's vampire power is nullifying others' powers. In Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Bella uses her powers to create a safe bubble around her family. Given that fact, Bella could, like Scarlet Witch, choose to use her power to strip the vampire population of their abilities, should the franchise decide to begin again.
