Disney+ provided CBR with an exclusive clip from the upcoming 10th episode of Turner & Hooch.

The clip begins with Hooch licking a criminal in the back of Scott Turner Jr.'s car, much to the U.S. Marshall's chagrin. The criminal begins to explain that his extensive rap sheet is the result of a misunderstanding, but Turner is distracted when he receives a phone call from Jessica to let him know that Erica's dog Angel has been dognapped.

"I’m incredibly excited about this episode, which is a mix of all the things I love doing most on TV," series creator Matt Nix said. "There’s great action, really fun comedy, romance, and an enormous amount of heart. Everybody did some of their best work, including our director, Robbie Duncan McNeill, my co-writer Christina Pumariega, our actors and our amazing crew. It’s really the purest expression of what I want Turner & Hooch to be - a really exciting episode of TV that leaves you feeling great."

Turner & Hooch is a 12-episode TV sequel series to the 1989 buddy cop film starring Tom Hanks as Scott Turner, a police investigator, and Beasley the Dog as Hooch, the pet of Turner's murdered friend Amos. "Part of it was just kind of giving ourselves permission to have fun, but also just giving the audience permission to kind of see the series and the spirit that we were offering it, which was, wouldn't it be cool if John McClane had a dog, like what is that?" Nix said in August. "A dog would be so cool, right? Yeah. I was like, all right, let's do that. And then that sort of rolled out from that."

"20th Television, where I have my [development] deal had just merged with Disney and they were exploring the library for things they were interested in making into a show," Nix said about how the Turner & Hooch sequel series came about. "For me, I was a fan of the [movie] as a kid and I always kind of wanted to do a true action-comedy for television. I was interested in working with McG and that happened early, all of those things sort of came together."

New episodes of Turner & Hooch air Wednesdays on Disney+.
