Tudors star Natalie Dormer has been cast in the second season of HBO’s hit fantasy adaptation Game of Thrones, Entertainment Weekly reports.
She’ll play Margaery Tyrell, the shrewd sister of Ser Loras Tyrell (“the Knight of Flowers”) who’s pledged to marry Renly Baratheon in support of his bid to seize the Iron Throne from King Joffrey.
Dormer, who will next be seen as Private Lorraine in Captain America: The First Avenger, portrayed Anne Boleyn in Showtime’s The Tudors.
Based on George R.R. Martin’s bestselling fantasy epic A Song of Ice and Fire, Game of Thrones concluded its first season on Sunday with a series-high 3 million viewers. If you add in the 11 p.m. repeat, the finale drew a total of 3.9 million.
