Netflix recently revealed the release date for Transformers: War for Cybertron-Earthrise on its streaming platform.Earthrise, the sequel to Transformers: War for Cybertron-Siege, will premiere on Netflix on Dec. 30th, as seen on its Twitter.RELATED: Transformers: War for Cyberton Drops First Earthrise Teaser

Earthrise will pick up where Transformers: War for Cybertron-Siege left off, with Optimus Prime and the Autobots encountering a rogue faction of Transformer bounty hunters after they land on Earth. The first teaser for the series debuted during Hasbro's PulseCon event.

The Transformers: War For Cybertron Trilogy is a multimedia project spanning a three-part anime series on Netflix, as well as a line of action figures. The first installment Siege took place during the final days of the Cybertronian War, with Optimus Prime and the Autobots taking the AllSpark off-planet. The final installment in the trilogy, Kingdom, will draw influence from the Beast Wars animated series.

Developed by Rooster Teeth Studios, Transformers: War for Cybertron - Siege features the voice talents of Jake Foushee as Optimus Prime, Jason Marnocha as Megatron, Linsay Rousseau as Elita-1, Joe Zieja as Bumblebee, Frank Todaro as Starscream, Rafael Goldstein as Ratchet, Keith Silverstein as Jetfire, Todd Haberkorn as Shockwave and Red Alert, Edward Bosco as Ultra Magnus and Soundwave, Bill Rogers as Wheeljack, Sophia Isabella as Arcee, Brook Chalmers as Impactor, Shawn Hawkins as Mirage, Kaiser Johnson as Ironhide, Miles Luna as Teletraan I and Cliffjumper and Mark Whitten as Sideswipe and Skywarp. The series is now streaming on Netflix.
