According to a new TV spot for Transformers: The Last Knight, gigantic robots have been on Earth "forever."Narrated by series newcomer Anthony Hopkins, the footage shows the "secret" past of Transformers on our planet. Apparently, the existence of the Transformers was kept under wraps for a thousand years, while they quietly participated in humanity's major conflicts, including World War II. Per the promo, Transformers were around to fight alongside samurai, battle Nazis and witness the eruption of Krakatoa.RELATED: Transformers: The Last Knight Clip Introduces Hot Rod 

Previous footage showed the influence the Transformers had on fictional Arthurian times, but this new footage implies a much larger presence throughout all ages. The Last Knight will be the fifth and allegedly final Transformers film directed by Michael Bay.
