Transformers, Speed Racer, FF2, Heroes: June 1st Comic Reel Wrap

Let's get the spoilers out of the way: a scooper at Ain't It Cool News has seen the movie (allegedly) and posted a review. Read at your own risk.

Back in the world of officially approved statements, director Michael Bay talked to IGN about bringing the residents of Cybertron to the silver screen. "It's got a lot of action, but it's very funny," said Bay. "And it's got heart. I only wanted to do Transformers if I could do it realistic. And from what I've seen, what we've done with our digital studies, is putting in real world stuff that has lots of effects around that are real effects. That's how we make it realistic."

Superhero Hype is reporting that the studio has moved the release date up by 24 hours, now opening on July 3rd.

If you can't wait that long, the toys will be available tomorrow and you can check out the press release, also at Superhero Hype.

Finally, if you watch the MTV Movie Awards, there's goodies planned for that as well. Cast members Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese will join MTV News' Tim Kash to show off the actual cars and reveal an exclusive never-before-seen clip from the movie.

Speaking of fast cars, we've got a look at the Mach 5! Filming starts next week in Germany.

We continue our chat with the cast right here at CBR.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Dania Ramirez, who played Callisto in "X-Men: The Last Stand" and has a recurring role on "The Sopranos," has been added as a regular on the NBC's hit series. The show returns for a second season in the fall. Ramirez will play Maya, a new hero whose powers are being kept under wraps. Maya is one of four to five new characters expected to be added to "Heroes" next season, but her character might be the only regular one. The other roles, most of which are said to have international flavor, include a sexy boyfriend for Claire (Hayden Panettiere), a 28-year-old black mother, a surrogate for Niki's (Ali Larter) son and an Irish mobster.

How wonderful is Doug Jones? He's now created his own blog where he revealed a casting factoid. "I have been rehearsing scenes with Guillermo and the lovely Anna Walton, who plays Princess Nuala," Jones wrote. "Without giving anything away, I will simply tell you that this is one fantastic actress, and her highness may bring out a side of Abe Sapien that youÕve never seen before. Anna is just delightful, and is here in Budapest with her 4 week old baby!!!!! I shall never complain about stress ever again for as long as I live (said Dougie, as he pictured 3am feedings before a work day). My hope is that you will fall in love with Anna as we all have on this end."

Remember those new photos of the Joker and his gang? We've got them in high resolution now.

We can't do this without you. The rumors, the scoops, the set photos -- they're all fueled by passionate fans emailing in the goods. The ones who ask, "What do you mean your sister's dating somebody who works for Miles Millar?" The ones who know the code names of movie projects and scour city permit filings for them. The devoted, the involved. Fans, just like you. Whatever you know, we wanna know, and whether you want your name shouted to the web's rafters or kept closer than a classified report, we've got you covered like a comforter. Broadcasting live from Los Angeles, this is your humble scribe Hannibal Tabu saying thank you for your time and indulgence, fresh comics reviews are already online (a day late and a dollar short indeed) and "enough talk -- let's go make with the 'biff' and the 'pow' already."
