Star Wars legend Mark Hamill and Hellboy alum Ron Perlman have joined the cast of Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy, an animated series by Hasbro and Machinima. They will join fellow newcomers Jamie King (Solus Prime), Gregg Berger (Grimlock/Volcanicus), Mikey Way (Snarl) and Nuufolau Joel Seanoa, aka Samoa Joe (Predaking).
Hamill will voice Megatronus the Fallen, one of the Thirteen Original Primes who "was exiled from Cybertron after murdering one of the other Thirteen, Solus Prime, effectively becoming the first Decepticon." Hamill's Megatronus will appear in the Transformers: Titans Return finale, where he will battle an as-yet-unannounced fan-favorite hero.
Titans Returns ties into Hasbro’s line of Transformers toys as the second chapter of the Prime Wars Trilogy. The series debuted on November 14 with the first two episodes premiering on the go90 platform. The series will run for 18 episodes, each lasting about 10-11 minutes.
Perlman will debut in Transformers: Power of the Primes, the third and final part of the trilogy, as Optimus Primal. His character will appear in the spring of 2018 alongside Hamill, Judd Nelson (Rodimus Cron), Wil Wheaton (Perceptor), DashieGames (Menasor), MatPat (Computron) and Rob Dyke (Devastator). Powers of The Primes will run for ten 11-minute episodes.
F.J. DeSanto serves as the series showrunner, with episodes written by Adam Beechen and directed by YUZO. The series also stars Kari Wahlgren (Victorion), Jason Marnocha (Megatron), Abby Trott (Windblade), Patrick Seitz (Overlord), DashieGames (Menasor) and Frank Todaro (Sludge).
Transformers: Titans Returns and Transformers: Power of the Primes will air on go90 worldwide. In China, the show will air on Sohu.
