In anticipation of the upcoming summer blockbuster Transformers: The Last Knight, Paramount has released 12 new character posters. Each poster puts the spotlight on nearly every important hero and villain in the movie, along with some characters you might not have been expecting; finally, Anthony Hopkins has his own stylized, lens flared poster.

The posters themselves separate the characters into good and bad categories, bestowing titles like Protect and Destroy.

There have already been numerous types of posters revealed in the recent months leading up to Transformers: The Last Knight, and numerous hints that Optimus Prime is truly breaking bad in the sequel. But if we're to take the posters' text at face value, it would appear that the Autobot leader will officially fall into the classification of Decepticon.

Whether or not this change is permanent, of course, is something we’ll have to wait and see once the sequel debuts.

“The Last Knight” shatters the core myths of the Transformers franchise, and redefines what it means to be a hero. Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Sir Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock).

There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Opening June 23, Transformers: The Last Knight stars franchise veterans Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and John Turturro, joined by newcomers Isabela Moner, Liam Garrigan, Jerrod Carmichael, Mitch Pileggi, Laura Haddock, Santago Cabrera and Anthony Hopkins.
