Transformers: War for Cybertron -- Earthrise changes the game for the Autobots and Decepticons as the battle for the Allspark continues away from Cybertron. Both factions searched far and wide, ending up outside Earth's orbit in hopes of obtaining the relic.

However, with Deseeus taking over the mercenary ship, Fool's Fortune, the ensuing three-way firefight costs a lot of lives -- the most heartbreaking of which is due to the actions of Optimus Prime.

The loss is none other than Cog, Optimus' biggest fanboy, and someone loyal to the cause. He's stuck by the leader's side through thick and thin, which is why he goes searching for Optimus when their ark, Teletraan-I, becomes hooked by the Decepticons' tractor beam following the escape from the Dead Universe. Megatron and Co. invade, and Cog finds Optimus holding the Decepticon chief at gunpoint. Cog asks Optimus what he's doing, but the indecisiveness on Optimus' part allows Megatron to get the upper hand; in the melee, Cog is blasted out of the ship.

Cog is left floating in the dead of space, leaving Optimus beside himself because had he just dealt with Megatron, his friend would still be there. Fortunately, Cog is given a second chance when he's able to float out to the Fortune, which he notices has a breach in its hull. He sneaks onboard and quickly takes out Bug Bite and Exhaust, before going after Deseeus.

The Face of Death; Deseeus

Without any line to his ark, Cog risks it all by attacking Deseeus and ordering him to stand down. Cog knows if Deseeus keeps up his assault, the Decepticon ark, the Nemesis, will fire back and blow destroy everyone. However, Deseeus senses an opening and stabs Cog just as he begins running out of power. As Deseeus leaves Cog to go tend to the breach, all the Autobot is left to do is try to radio his allies. He begs them to get word out to the Decepticons for a ceasefire, but unfortunately, his plea falls on deaf ears.

As Cog predicted, the Decepticons fire back, blowing the Fortune up. It's a massive explosion that engulfs all three vessels, and while some of the others fell to Earth, Cog's incinerated. Just to think, this all could've been avoided if Optimus' had made the right call when dealing with Megatron.
