It was announced back in March that the director of the Oscar-nominated Kubo And The Two Strings, Travis Knight, had signed on to direct the upcoming Bumblebee spinoff film. Well, now, thanks to fan-site Transformer World 2005, fans may have their first look at the upcoming film's logo.
According to the site, the application for the logo -- shown below -- was just passed yesterday by Hasbro Inc.
The Bumblebee Spinoff will mark the first spinoff from Michael Bay's Transformers universe, which will see the next film, Transformers: The Last Knight, hit theaters in June. It'll also mark the first live-action film for Knight, who has also worked on films such as ParaNorman and Coraline prior to making his directing debut with last year’s Kubo And The Two Strings.
Although the Bumblebee Spinoff is the only spinoff film officially announced, it was revealed last year that there is still the potential for more projects to be unveiled, as producer Steven Spielberg saw potential in five of the nine treatments developed by the writers' room.
The Transformers franchise has proven to be a viable one for Paramount, with the last four films amassing over an astonishing $3 billion at the worldwide box office. The fifth Transformers film, Transformers: The Last Knight, was directed by Michael Bay and is set to hit theaters on June 23. The untitled Bumblebee spinoff is set for 2018.
