We might still be in the middle of summer, but fall is just around the corner. And you know what that means: a new crop of horror is lurking, ready to scare the money out of your wallets. With supernatural being the flavor of the season, it should come as no surprise there are two big horror trailers right about haunted playthings.

Annabelle, above, is a spinoff of James Wan's surprise 2013 hit The Conjuring. Directed by John R. Leonetti (The Butterfly Effect 2), it tells the story of the super-creepy possessed doll seen in the original. Opening Oct. 3, it stars Annabelle Wallis, Alfre Woodard and Eric Laden.

A more direct Conjuring sequel starring Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson is slated to debut on Oct. 23, 2015.

Two weeks after Annabelle creeps its way into theaters, Ouija will do its own brand of conjuring. A film based on the Hasbro party game and potential portal to the supernatural had been in the works for years and is finally ready to see if audiences point to Yes or No.

The film finds a group of friends doing what people have been trying for centuries: communing with the dead by way of a board and planchette. But unlike your last slumber party, things don't end with an argument about who was pushing it in what direction. In this case, they're trying to find out what happened to their friend who seemingly committed suicide with a string of Christmas lights only to put themselves in danger of angering whatever got her in the first place.

Ouija, which marks Stiles White's directorial debut, opens on Oct. 24.
