While the movie industry continues to experience delayed releases and productions, the television industry continues to carry on as the regular 2019-2020 season comes to a close while the summer 2020 season is prepared to begin this month.

With that in mind, here are all the biggest trailers, promos, and teasers from the last week of April 2020 leading into the beginning of May.

Adventure Time: Distant Lands

While the universally acclaimed animated series Adventure Time may have ended its main run years ago, the animated series is returning for a short series of specials soon on the upcoming premium streaming service HBO Max. Titled Adventure Time: Distant Lands, a teaser trailer for the first special focuses on BMO, the sentient, all-purpose electronic device that lives with protagonists Finn and Jake as it navigates through the vastness of outer space.

Created by Pendleton Ward, Adventure Time: Distant Lands will air exclusively on HBO Max. A release date has yet to be announced.

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

The first full-length trailer for Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. leans heavily into its 1931 setting, as mysterious, time-traveling figures make their debut. Known as the Chronicoms, a pair of the villains attack a group of police officers before stealing their faces. With history and S.H.I.E.L.D.'s very existence threatened, the team must not only save the fledgling intelligence agency in the past to preserve the timeline but also its dreaded nemesis Hydra.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg. Season 7 premieres Wednesday, May 27 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla

After exploring Ancient Greece, the next installment of Ubisoft's enduringly popular Assassin's Creed video game franchise is going to the Age of Vikings in this year's Assassin's Creed Valhalla. The debut trailer for the upcoming game showcased Vikings defending their town from invaders to bloody effect, taking to the high seas as they honored their Norse gods before entering combat. With its epic scope, the franchise is poised to explore the untamed frontiers of Northern Europe in a new, sweeping adventure.

Developed by Ubisoft, Assassin's Creed Valhalla arrives on Xbox One, Playstation 4, PC, and Google Stadia this holiday season.

Crossing Swords

While appearing to be a kid-friendly animated series inspired by early-age toys like Playmobil, Hulu's latest original animated series Crossing Swords is definitely not for the children. The series' first NSFW teaser trailer brings raunchy comedy, blended with medieval action reminding audiences that maybe chivalry was dead even in the Middle Ages in its own irreverently wacky way.

Created by Robot Chicken's John Harvatine IV and Tom Root, all 12 episodes of Crossing Swords premiere on Hulu June 12.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

The popular video game Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot released its first major DLC expansion this past week, officially entering the Dragon Ball Super era of the popular anime franchise. Titled "A New Power Awakens, Pt. 1," the DLC trailer shows Goku and Vegeta training under Whis to achieve the Super Saiyan God transformation. Deemed worthy enough to battle the God of Destruction, the two join forces to confront Beerus head-on in the explosive gameplay trailer.

Developed and published by Bandai Namco, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is now available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. "A New Power Awakens: Part 1" is now available to season pass holders.

The Flash

The second half of The Flash Season 6 has seen the death of the Speed Force, the extra-dimension that serves as the primary source of Barry Allen's powers. A promo for the season's penultimate episode has the villain Godspeed resurface, with a desperate Flash confronting him even though the encounter may cost him the last of his speed reserves just to keep up.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.

The God of High School

This year has seen the digital anime streaming platform Crunchyroll steadily unveil its own line of original programming, including the eagerly anticipated anime adaptation of The God of High School. Based on the popular South American WebToon of the same name, the series has high schoolers from across South Korea compete in martial arts tournaments to represent their country on the global stage in increasingly kinetic showdowns. The anime series' latest trailer introduces its colorful cast while teasing the epic brawls they will engage in over the course of the adaptation.

Based on the webtoon by Yongje Park, The God of High School will premiere on Crunchyroll this July.

Hanna

The second season of the Amazon Prime Video original series Hanna premieres this summer, with a new teaser setting the release date for July. As the sinister CIA program UTRAX continues to hunt girls it genetically engineered to become super-soldiers, the eponymous protagonist quickly realizes she's being watched once again.

Created by David Farr, Hanna stars Esme Creed-Miles, Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman. The first season is available now on Amazon Prime Video, with Season 2 premiering on July 3.

Hero Cantare

One of the most popular web-comic sites in the world is South Korea's WebToon, featuring its own bestselling line of titles. The digital platform's three biggest series converge in the new mobile game Hero Cantare, featuring an engrossing story mode that brings together the characters from The God of High School, Tower of God, and Hardcore Leveling Warrior. The card-based RPG released a new trailer to hype its upcoming availability in North America for the first time.

Slated for release for iOS and Android devices, Hero Cantare is open to pre-registration in North America through the game's official website.

Legends of Tomorrow

As Legends of Tomorrow moves towards its fifth season finale, the crew of the Waverider continues to grow ahead of the final battle against the season's true overarching antagonist Fates Lachesis. The promo for the Arrowverse series' next episode has Mick Rory bring his daughter Lita on board the time-traveling ship while Gary Green introduces the crew to his pet dog to accompany them on their latest mission.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan.

NOS4A2

The popular AMC horror series NOS4A2 returns for its second season next month, with its sinister villain Charlie Manx making his full return. Portrayed by Zachary Quinto, Manx resumes his killing spree, targeting Vic and her young son for revenge after last season. As Vic scrambles to protect her son from the immortal enemy, new monsters are seen as Manx leads his victims to the nightmarish, holiday-themed world of Christmasland.

Premiering June 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on AMC and BBC America, NOS4A2 Season 2 stars Zachary Quinto, Ashley Cummings, Olafur Darri Olafsson, Virginia Kull, Jahkara Smith and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Reno 911!

After eleven years off the air, the cult classic comedy series Reno 911! returns for a surprise seventh season on the new premium streaming service Quibi this week. Picking up where the previous season left off, the police department of Reno, Nevada remains as hilariously inept as ever. Now on the digital platform, episodes will run for less than ten minutes each, while the main cast has reunited for more comedic adventures as the bumbling police force.

The Reno 911! revival features the return of creators/stars Robert Ben Garant, Kerri Kenney-Silver and Thomas Lennon, along with Cedric Yarbrough, Carlos Alazraqui, Wendi McLendon and Niecy Nash. It premieres May 4 on Quibi.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power

The fifth and final season of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is coming to Netflix this month, bringing the adventures of the reimagined Princess Adora and her friends to an end. The trailer has Adora lamenting over the loss of her Sword of Protection, allowing her to transform into She-Ra as the Princesses of Power prepare for a final battle against Horde Prime.

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power stars Aimee Carrero, Karen Fukuhara, AJ Michalka, Marcus Scribner, Reshma Shetty, Lorraine Toussaint, Keston John, Lauren Ash, Christine Woods, Genesis Rodriguez, Jordan Fisher, Vella Lovell, Merit Leighton, Sandra Oh, Krystal Joy Brown and Jacob Tobia. Season 5 arrives on Netflix on May 15.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend

While Netflix's popular comedy series The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt may have concluded its original run last year, the series is returning for a special episode this month. However, unlike any typical reunion special, the upcoming episode gives audiences the opportunity to decide what its characters should do next as the latest interactive title offered by the streaming service. The episode has Kimmy discover the villainous reverend who imprisoned her for years has another secret bunker of kidnapped girls, with only Kimmy able to rescue them.

Created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt stars Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess and Jane Krakowski. The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt: Kimmy vs. The Reverend also stars John Hamm and Daniel Radcliffe. It premieres May 12 on Netflix.
