Halloween 2020 is nearly upon us, and while October has already seen its fair share of horror-oriented television and moviesd, the upcoming final week before the holiday offers one last chance for audiences to experience the thrills and chills associated with the macabre holiday. Animaniacs

As self-aware as ever, the latest trailer for Hulu's upcoming Animaniacs revival series immediately addresses the money-fueled decisions behind reboots and revivals right out of the gate. As Yakko, Wakko and Dot claw themselves out of the graves they've presumably been in since the original series' conclusion in 1998, footage from the 13 new episodes of the revival's first season are shown. The show also includes the return of Pinky and the Brain, who will be devising new schemes in their ongoing mission to take over the world.

Animaniacs stars Jess Harnell, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille and Rob Paulsen. Season 1 of the revival arrives on Hulu Nov. 20.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare/Warzone

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone are ringing in Halloween in style with a surprise horror-themed DLC season dubbed "The Haunting of Verdansk." In an ominous trailer, the squad is ambushed by Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface before facing a horde of zombies. Just as the troops think they have escaped to safety, they find themselves stalked by Saw's Jigsaw for an especially deadly Halloween.

Developed by Infinity Ward, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare & Warzone: The Haunting of Verdansk runs from Oct. 20 to Nov. 3.

Creepshow

Filming on Creepshow may have been delayed by the pandemic, but the Shudder original series is still returning just in time for Halloween with a new animated special. Starring Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King in voice roles, the Halloween special includes two scary segments based on short stories by Stephen King and Joe Hill. In the trailer, The Creep sits down at the drawing board and draws the stories in the animated special as they come to horrific life.

Directed by Greg Nicotero with animation from Octopie, A Creepshow Animated Special stars Kiefer Sutherland and Joey King. The special arrives on Shudder Thursday, Oct. 29 shortly after 12:01 a.m. ET/9:01 p.m. PT.

Disney+

Disney+ is pulling out all the stops to celebrate the first anniversary since its worldwide launch. A sizzle reel of the original content the streaming platform's slated to roll out next month includes a look at an upcoming documentary exploring Pixar Animation Studio's legacy, new episodes from the National Geographic adaptation of The Right Stuff and tantalizing new footage from The Mandalorian Season 2

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 2 premieres Oct. 30 on Disney+.

EA Sports UFC 4

In a Halloween-themed update to the popular fighting game, the cast of EA Sports UFC 4 has gotten a new WWE Superstar in Brock Lesnar. Lesnar's inclusion comes nearly two months after the champion wrestler and WWE failed to reach a renewal agreement for his contract. While only digital, Lesnar's appearance could signal a potential return for the fan-favorite fighter to the world of mixed martial arts.

Developed and published by Electronic Arts, EA Sports UFC 4 is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

Fire Emblem

Just in time for its thirtieth anniversary, the original 1990 Fire Emblem game is receiving its first ever North American release this holiday season. Presented in all its 8-bit glory, the game will feature a localized English translation and the ability to rewind past actions, increase the gameplay speed and save and load bookmarks. While the game received an enhanced remake for the Nintendo DS in 2008, the upcoming port will be the first time the original game receives an official English-language release.

Developed by Nintendo and Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo, Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light will be released digitally for the Nintendo Switch on Dec. 4.

Five Nights at Freddy's: Special Delivery

The fan-favorite horror game Five Nights at Freddy's has received its own augmented reality experience, available on major smart devices. In a faux infomercial hosted by video-game personality Markiplier, the mobile game brings the murderous animatronics to gamers' homes. Using the AR app, the killer machines are spotted in the shadows as they stalk players. The game has come out ahead of the upcoming PS5 title Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach.

Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory

Square Enix and Disney's widely acclaimed Kingdom Hearts franchise is getting its own rhythm action game in next month's Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory. The gameplay trailer shows players guide their favorite characters across tracks where they battle waves of enemies based on the rhythm of each level's soundtrack, from both the game's fantasy worlds to stages inspired by classic Disney films.

Developed by Square Enix and indiezero, Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory arrives on Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch Nov. 13.

Ma Rainey's Black Bottom

Audiences will have the chance to see the late Chadwick Boseman's final film performance in the upcoming Netflix original movie Ma Rainey's Black Bottom this December. An adaption the 1984 play by August Wilson, the film stars Boseman as a trumpet player looking to put his own modern spin on classic blues songs while facing racial injustice in the 1920s music industry.

Directed by George C. Wolfe and based on a play of the same name by August Wilson, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom stars Viola Davis, Chadwick Boseman, Glynn Turman, Taylour Paige and Michael Potts. The film arrives on Netflix Dec. 18.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate

The bestselling fighting game Mortal Kombat 11 is receiving a new expansion next month, adding three new playable characters to the roster. Among the added fighters is the ninja warrior Rain, who was originally introduced to the franchise in Mortal Kombat III but has been absent as a playable character since 2015's Mortal Kombat X. A new character trailer showcases Rain's hard-hitting special moves and gory fatalities as he cuts through the competition with his water-based attacks. A second character trailer unleashes guest fighter John Rambo in all his bloody glory, with Sylvester Stallone reprising his iconic role.

Developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, Mortal Kombat 11 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC and Google Stadia. The Kombat Pack 2 expansion and Ultimate bundle will be released Nov. 17.

Once Upon a Snowman

After starring in a wave of online short films earlier this year, the beloved Frozen character Olaf has returned for the new short Once Upon a Snowman, available exclusively on Disney+. Josh Gad reprises his role as the beloved, sentient snowman in the origin story, which follows Olaf as he sets out to develop his personality and physical appearance after being brought to life.

Directed by Trent Correy and Dan Abraham, Once Upon a Snowman stars Josh Gad. It is now available to stream on Disney+.

Raya and the Last Dragon

In the upcoming Disney animated film Raya and the Last Dragon, the titular adventure-seeking protagonist ventures deep into an ancient, deathtrap-filled temple to locate the last water dragon. Seeking the mythical dragon gem to unite her people, Raya battles an imposing guardian while discovering the legend behind the dragon isn't quite what she anticipated.

Directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada and written by Paul Briggs and John Ripa, Raya and the Last Dragon stars Kelly Marie Tran and Awkwafina. The animated movie premieres on March 12, 2021.

Servant

The acclaimed Apple TV+ original series Servant is returning for its second season this January, when it will bring back the psychological thrills as a Philadelphia couple realizes their reborn doll and live-in nanny aren't what they seem. It's easy to understand why the show has Stephen King's seal of approval as the horror series ratchets up the unsettling tension to great effect. The season's final four episodes were completed after production on the show was temporarily suspended due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Created by Tony Basgallop and directed and executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan, Servant stars Toby Kebbell, Lauren Ambrose, Nell Tiger Free, and Rupert Grint. Season 1 is now streaming on Apple TV+ with Season 2 arriving Jan. 15.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales

One of the most hyped PS5-exclusive titles available at launch is Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which continues the story from the universally acclaimed 2018 game. Developer Insomniac Games has released a pair of promos revealing text messages between Miles and his friends as he acclimates after moving with his mother to Harlem. In the first clip, Peter Parker advise Miles on how to maintain the superhero double life, while in the second Miles' friend Ganke Lee recommends a new costume for the teenage webslinger.

Developed by Insomniac Games and PlayStation Studios, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 on Nov. 12.

Supernatural

As Supernatural moves closer to its epic finale, Sam and Dean Winchester travel back to the beginning in an upcoming episode of the long-running CW series. In a promo for the final season's sixteenth episode, titled "Drag Me Away," Sam and Dean investigate the death of a childhood friend while Dean recalls a long-buried trauma that has troubled him for decades. The episode will feature sequences set in the present-day along with flashbacks to Sean and Dean as children to explore a mystery that has gone unsolved for years.

Starring Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, Misha Collins and Alexander Calvert, the final episodes of Supernatural air Thursdays at 8 pm ET/PT on The CW.
