Alpha Betas

Several popular gaming personalities are getting a chance to save the world in a new animated series Alpha Betas. Starring and executive produced by gaming personalities VanossGaming, Terroriser, BasicallyIDoWork and I AM WILDCAT, the show has the government recruit the four gamers to stem the effects of video games bleeding into reality with comedic effect.

Created by Chris Bruno and David Lee, Alpha Betas stars Evan Fong, Tyler Wine, Marcel Cunningham and Brian Hanby. The series premieres March 13 on YouTube.

Clarice

CBS' The Silence of the Lambs continuation series Clarice has officially premiered, bringing its eponymous FBI profiler back in action to track down other notorious serial killers. Set in 1993, approximately one year after the events of the classic film, Clarice Starling is assigned track down a murderer targeting women in the Appalachian Mountains where she grew up, putting her expert forensic skills to use.

Starring Rebecca Breeds, Michael Cudlitz, Kal Penn, Nick Sandow, Lucca De Oliveira, Devyn A. Tyler and Marnee Carpenter, Clarice airs on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time

After a successful launch on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this past October, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time comes to the next-generation of console gaming next month. A gameplay trailer shows Crash back in action alongside the extended cast of playable characters, with the fan-favorite marsupial poised to leap onto the PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S in March.

Developed by Toys for Bob and published by Activision Blizzard, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch on March 12, with a PC release planned for later in 2021. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier

The legacy of Captain America comes under attack in Marvel Studios' upcoming Disney+ original series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. The new trailer shows Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes working through their personal issues with one another to join forces against a resurgent, Baron Zemo, as he sets out to put an end to all superheroes. As the two heroes rally, they're joined by Sharon Carter, ready to defend Cap's Star-Spangled legacy against all threats.

Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly and Daniel Brühl. The series premieres March 19 on Disney+.

F9

F9 was one of the first major Hollywood films to delay its planned theatrical release by a full year due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic last year, but marketing for the high-octane sequel has finally resumed. The latest promo has Dom and Letty try to settle into the domestic life, as the former admits he misses living one quarter mile at a time. And with a familiar face from Dom's past gunning for him, the expert driver's wish is about to come true in the worst way.

Directed by Justin Lin, F9 stars Vin Diesel, John Cena, Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Jordana Brewster, Nathalie Emmanuel and Sung Kang, with Helen Mirren, Charlize Theron and Cardi B. The film arrives in theaters May 28, 2021.

For All Mankind: Time Capsule

The acclaimed Apple TV+ original series For All Mankind returns for its second season this month. To fill in the nine-year time jump between seasons, Apple has released an interactive AR experience, For All Mankind: Time Capsule, showing the changes in the Stevens family through the eyes of their young son Danny in the intervening years, with multiple chapters of story content featuring the main cast.

Created by Ronald D. Moore, Matt Wolpert and Ben Nedivi, For All Mankind stars Joel Kinnaman, Michael Dorman, Sarah Jones, Shantel VanSanten, Wrenn Schmidt, Jodi Balfour, Krys Marshall, Sonya Walger, Cynthy Wu, Coral Peña and Casey W. Godzilla vs. Kong

A Japanese trailer for Godzilla vs. Kong offers an alternate look at the upcoming kaiju confrontation, expanding on the footage unveiled in the film's debut theatrical trailer. While the previous first promo showed King Kong completely clocking the King of Monsters as they battled atop aircraft carriers, the Japanese trailer has Godzilla retaliate with a mighty attack of his own.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein, Godzilla vs. Kong stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall and Brian Tyree Henry. The film arrives in theaters and on HBO Max March 31.

Marvel Future Fight

Dawn of X has finally come to Marvel Future Fight in the mobile game's February update. The enormously successful publishing initiative for the entire X-Men line of comic books has inspired alternate costumes for Cable, X-23 and Gambit, with the fan-favorite characters now sporting looks inspired from their time on Krakoa. A teaser trailer shows these new skins in action while Deadpool gets in on the fun with an alternate costume based on his 30th anniversary design.

Nobody

After defending crooks as a cheap lawyer in the acclaimed series Better Call Saul, Bob Odenkirk takes a page directly from the John Wick franchise with the upcoming action movie, Nobody. Odenkirk portrays a quiet family man named Hutch who secretly worked as an assassin before settling down. After his former employers raid his home and steal his daughter's bracelet, Hutch descends into his old ways to make sure his family is left alone.

Directed by Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry) from a script by Derek Kolstad, the narrative architect of the John Wick franchise, Nobody stars Bob Odenkirk, Gage Munroe, Connie Nielsen, Aleksey Serebryakov, Christopher Lloyd and RZA. Nobody arrives in theaters on April 2.

Old

Fan-favorite filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan's next major project after 2019's Glass is Old, based on the graphic novel Sandcastle by Pierre Oscar Levy and Frederick Peeters. While a young family vacations on an unassuming tropical beach, they quickly discover that the environment rapidly ages them. Principal photography on the film took place last year, with Shyamalan noting the production was particularly difficult, not just because of the COVID-19 pandemic, but also hurricane season in the Dominican Republic, the location in which they were filming.

Written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan, Old stars Gael García Bernal, Eliza Scanlen, Thomasin McKenzie, Aaron Pierre, Alex Wolff, Vicky Krieps, Abbey Lee, Embeth Davidtz, Rufus Sewell, Ken Leung, Nikki Amuka-Bird, Emun Elliott and Nolan River. The film is scheduled for release on July 23.

Paramount+

Nearly seven years after its initial launch, the premium streaming service CBS All Access is rebranding as Paramount+ next month. Taking greater advantage of the television networks and films produced by CBSViacom, one promo shows the various properties coming together, while another Star Trek-focused promo hosted by Patrick Stewart showcases the digital platform's extensive library.

CBS All Access will soon be rebranded as Paramount+ and will feature content from networks like CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, MTV and more. The streaming service launches in the U.S. and Latin America on March 4.

Power Rangers: Dino Fury

The perennially popular Power Rangers franchise gets its latest series with Power Rangers: Dino Fury premiering this month. As the latest army of invading extraterrestrials descend on Earth, a new team of Rangers step up to protect the planet, taking the helm on prehistoric themed Megazords to battle evil. A teaser trailer provides a quick roll call of the five Rangers as they balance their personal lives with combating giant monsters.

Power Rangers Dino Fury premieres Saturday, Feb. 20 at 8 a.m. ET/PT on Nickelodeon in the U.S.

Raya and the Last Dragon

The next big Disney animated movie Raya and the Last Dragon takes place in the fantasy world of Kumandra, divided by war and intrigue, with its people crying out for unity. As the eponymous warrior sets out to find the mythical means to bring her shattered lands together, she encounters Sisu, the titular last dragon. The animated film is already available to preorder on Disney+, expected to premiere in March simultaneously as a premium streaming film and in theaters.

Directed by Don Hall and Carlos López Estrada from a script by Paul Briggs and John Ripa, Raya and the Last Dragon stars Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Gemma Chan, Daniel Dae Kim, Sandra Oh, Benedict Wong, Izaac Wang, Thalia Tran, Alan Tudyk, Lucille Soong, Patti Harrison and Ross Butler. The film arrives in theaters and on Disney+ Premiere Access March 5.

Superman & Lois

The Man of Steel and fearless reporter Lois Lane get their own shot at the Arrowverse spotlight with Superman & Lois joining The CW's programming lineup. A promo for the series premiere has Clark Kent reveal his true identity as Superman to his teenage sons at Lois' urging after the family returns to Smallville. While new threats rise, Clark will have to balance his superhero responsibilities with fatherhood as the family finds itself at a crossroads.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin, Elizabeth Tulloch, Dylan Walsh, Alex Garfin, Jordan Elsass, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Inde Navarrette and Wolé Parks. The series premieres Tuesday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. ET on The CW.

A Writer's Odyssey

Just in time for the Lunar New Year, the latest Chinese epic film A Writer's Odyssey has been released, with a launch trailer showcasing the movie's epic fantasy world. A young novelist writes a novel that changes reality around him, with ancient warriors, ravenous monsters and a sinister god known as Redmane threatening all humanity, prompting the writer to venture forth and restore the world as it once was.

A Writer's Odyssey is based on the novel by Shuang Xuetao and directed by Lu Yang, with Ning Hao as executive producer. It stars Dong Zijian, Lei Jiayin, Yang Mi, Yu Hewei, Guo Jingfei and Tong Liya. The film is now out in theaters.

Wynonna Earp

Wynonna Earp returns for the second half of its fourth season next month, with Wynonna burying her feelings after her recent breakup with Doc Holliday by hunting monsters relentlessly and drinking until she passes out in strange parts around town. As Wynonna is forced to confront her emotions, her sister Waverly celebrates her engagement with longtime girlfriend Nicole Haught. The series itself is also at a crossroads, with Syfy revealing the fourth season will be the last on the network.

Produced by SEVEN24 Films and IDW Entertainment, Wynonna Earp stars Melanie Scrofano as the title character, Dominique Provost-Chalkley as Waverly, Katherine Barrell as Nicole Haught and Tim Rozon as Doc Holliday. The second half of Season 4 premieres March 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Syfy.
