With audiences worldwide self-isolating in the face of the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, television is one of the major mediums that has kept everyone entertained and connected. And while Tiger King and Animal Crossing may not have released any new trailers or promo videos this week, the next wave of television programming has unveiled its own trailers, promos and teasers as the month of April begins.

Here are all the biggest trailers and promos released the first week of April 2020.

Cleopatra in Space

Based on the popular graphic novel series of the same name by Mike Maihack and published by Scholastic, Cleopatra in Space will be one of the original series launching with the NBCUniversal streaming service Peacock later this month. The upcoming animated series has released its first trailer as the Ancient Egyptian regent is teleported 30,000 years into the future to defend the cosmos from an interstellar tyrant.

Developed for television by Doug Langdale and Fitzy Fitzmaurice, Cleopatra in Space stars Lilimar, Katie Crown, Jorge Diaz and Sendhil Ramamurthy. The animated series premieres April 15 on NBCUniversal's streaming service Peacock.

The Main Event

WWE is teaming up with Netflix for its first co-produced original film, The Main Event, premiering on the streaming service later this month. The upcoming, family-friendly film centers on a young boy who aspires to one day become a WWE Superstar and wrestle alongside his idols in the ring. In the movie's first trailer, the boy discovers a magical Lucha Libre mask that grants him the incredible strength, speed, and moves that allow him to follow his dreams, despite his young age.

Directed by Jay Karas, The Main Event stars Seth Carr, Adam Pally, Ken Marino, Kofi Kingston, The Miz and Sheamus. The film premieres on Netflix on April 10.

Marvel Contest of Champions

The popular mobile fighting game Marvel Contest of Champions has released a new update for the month of April, this time focused on Doctor Strange and the longtime X-Men villain Apocalypse. A promo for the update has a different Sorcerer Supreme recruit Strange from his Sanctum Sanctorum to face a new rise of En Sabah Nur, who's corrupted Storm to serve as one of his loyal vassals.

Stargirl

With Stargirl premiering on DC Universe and The CW next month, the upcoming superhero series has released a new teaser of Courtney Whitmore suited up as her eponymous alter ego. Fortunately for the teenage superhero, she's not alone. In the promo she's joined by her stepfather Pat Dugan in the robotic battlesuit S.T.R.I.P.E. Designed by Dugan himself, the teaser shows the sidekick unleashing the suit's explosive abilities.

DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (Stripesy), Joel McHale as Sylvester Pemberton (Starman), Yvette Monreal as Yolanda Montez (Wildcat), Amy Smart as Barbara Whitmore, Anjelika Washington as Beth Chapel (Dr. Mid-Nite), Cameron Gellman as Rick Tyler (Hourman), Joy Osmanski as Ms. Brooks (Tigress), Christopher James Baker as Dr. Henry King (Brainwave), Neil Jackson as Jordan Mahkent (Icicle), Nelson Lee as Dr. Ito (Dragon King) and Neil Hopkins as Lawrence Crock (Sportsmaster). The series premieres Monday, May 18, on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19, on The CW.

Tower of God

The popular anime streaming service Crunchyroll is unveiling its own wave of original programming this year, the first of which is an adaptation of the web-manga series Tower of God. The upcoming anime series' final trailer introduces its cast, including a young boy named Bam whose natural resistance to the effects of magic makes him the ideal candidate to journey to the eponymous tower and face the mystical opponents within.

Based on the Webtoon series written and illustrated by Lee Jong-hui/SIU, Tower of God is directed by Takashi Sano, with Erika Yoshida serving as writer. Voice talent includes Taichi Ichikawa as Bam and Saori Hayami as Rachel. Tower of God premieres April 1 on Crunchyroll.

Westworld

Of all the antagonists to appear on HBO's hit science-fiction series Westworld, none are more memorable than the Man in Black. Serving as the primary villain in the first season, the gunslinger was revealed to be an older incarnation of eventual Westworld owner William, who holds a grudge against many of the android hosts that dwell inside the park. A promo for the third season's upcoming fourth episode reveals the Man in Black exiled in his own home, poised to make his full return as the self-aware hosts roam among the masses outside of theme park.
