Last week, NBCUniversal unveiled its programming line-up for its newly launched premium streaming service Peacock. This week it was WarnerMedia's turn to pull out all the stops to showcase its own digital platform, HBO Max. Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns for its seventh and final season next month, and the first teaser trailer for the inaugural Marvel Cinematic Universe television series has been unveiled by ABC. In order to save the organization and maintain the integrity of the timeline, the team must travel back in time to preserve its history... as well as that of Hydra.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. stars Ming-Na Wen, Chloe Bennet, Henry Simmons, Iain De Caestecker, Natalia Cordova-Buckley, Elizabeth Henstridge and Clark Gregg. Season 7 premieres Wednesday, May 27 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons

The latest update to the massively popular Nintendo Switch game Animal Crossing: New Horizons explores all the seasonal joys of spring. Running from April 23 to May 4, the various islands will celebrate Nature Day, with new environmentally friendly challenges to earn bonus Nook Miles, tickets to visit a mysterious island, an expansion to Blathers' museum, and the arrival of a sloth named Leif who sells shrubbery to islanders. The limited-time update is free to players during the seasonal window.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is now available on Nintendo Switch.

Craftopia

HBO Max is upping the ante with its own original programming across multiple genres available at launch, including the competitive reality series Craftopia. The upcoming show will pit children against one another in craft-making competitions that showcase their incredible creative skills.

One of Disney+'s earliest successes was its Star Wars original, live-action series The Mandalorian. With post-production underway on Season 2, a new documentary miniseries Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian will reveal the behind-the-scenes process of creating the hit series-- including its groundbreaking new filmmaking technology -- and feature interviews with the cast and crew.

Helmed by The Mandalorian series creator Jon Favreau, Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian premieres on May 4 on Disney+.

The Flash

As Team Flash acclimates to the new reality of Earth-Prime in the second half of Season 6, Barry Allen's wife Iris has secretly been kidnapped and replaced by a doppelganger from a pocket dimension developed by the new Mirror Master. A promo for next week's episode, titled "Liberation," shows Barry finally realizing the truth about what happened to his wife.

Airing Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, The Flash stars Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Carlos Valdes, Danielle Panabaker, Tom Cavanagh, Jesse L. Martin, Danielle Nicolet and Hartley Sawyer.

HBO Max

In addition to releasing individual trailers for each of its original programs available at launch, HBO Max has released a general trailer to showcase its vast library of fan-favorite television series and movies. It showcases the extensive catalog it will bring to its new digital platform next month, from HBO shows to DC Comics adaptations.

Legendary

One of the most-buzzed-about original series coming to HBO Max is Legendary, a reality competition show that has contestants face off in increasingly elaborate ballroom-dancing set pieces. Taking place in the world of high-stakes underground ballroom dancing, the series showcases different styles as ballroom dancing houses compete for the top prize.

Hosted by Law Roach, Jameela Jamil, Leiomy Maldonaldo and Megan Thee Stallion, Legendary premieres on May 27 on HBO Max.

Legends of Tomorrow

After a lengthy, unplanned hiatus due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, Legends of Tomorrow has returned to close out the final stretch of episodes in its fifth season. The DCTV series has released a new trailer and promo featuring its signature wacky, irreverent wit. The return trailer riffs on classic television, while a promo for an upcoming episode has the team descend into Hell.

Airing Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on The CW, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow stars Caity Lotz, Dominic Purcell, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers, Tala Ashe, Matt Ryan and Jes Macallan.

Looney Tunes Cartoons

One of the most iconic, enduring properties in WarnerMedia's vast library is Looney Tunes, and a new revival animated series in the classic animated style is coming exclusively to HBO Max next month. Aptly titled Looney Tunes Cartoons, the show follows Bugs Bunny and his friends on a new set of hijinks as he faces familiar frenemies like Yosemite Sam and Elmer Fudd.

Developed by Peter Browngardt, Looney Tunes Cartoons stars the voices of Eric Bauza, Jeff Bergman, Bob Bergen, Fred Tatasciore and more. The animated series premieres on May 27 on HBO Max.

Love Life

Fan-favorite actor Anna Kendrick stars in her first full-length television series Love Life, part of HBO Max's initial wave of original programming. The upcoming comedy-drama follows a young woman who traces her entire romantic history as she continues to search for true love in the big city.

Created by Sam Boyd and starring Anna Kendrick, Love Life premieres on HBO Max on May 27.

Marvel Future Fight

Black Widow's wide theatrical release was delayed until November, but fans still have the chance to play as the movie's iteration of the characters in the popular mobile game Marvel Future Fight. The latest update brings the Marvel Cinematic Universe incarnations of Natasha Romanoff, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian and Taskmaster to the fray, with a trailer showcasing each of the character's moves in action.

Marvel Future Fight is developed by Netmarble Corp and Marvel Games and is available on the App Store and Google Play.

The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo

HBO Max is getting its own exclusive talk show hosted by the beloved Sesame Street character Elmo. The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo has unveiled its debut trailer with Elmo and Cookie Monster welcoming a host of superstar guests, including Blake Lively, the Jonas Brothers, Kacey Musgraves, and...Batman?! An all-age friendly spin on the talk-show format, complete with musical numbers and games, the upcoming show is about to put Elmo in the spotlight where he belongs.

The first episode of The Not-Too-Late Show with Elmo will be available at launch on HBO Max on May 27.

One Piece

The perennially popular anime franchise One Piece is officially coming to Netflix this June, with the series' first two epic story arcs streaming on the platform this summer. To herald its coming arrival, Netflix released a short promo where it recapped the events of the series' first 130 episodes in less than a minute before confirming its release date of June 12.

Based on the manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece will be available to stream on Netflix starting June 12.

On the Record

In addition to original television series, HBO Max is also expanding its exclusive library with feature films and documentaries. The rise of Def Jam producer Drew Dixon will be showcased in the documentary film On the Record, as she faces adversity while moving up in the music industry in the 1990s.

Directed and produced by Kirby Dick and Amy Ziering, On the Record premieres on May 27 on HBO Max.

Paranoia Agent

The fan-favorite anime series Paranoia Agent is returning to Toonami next month, after first being broadcast on Cartoon Network's anime-oriented programming block in 2005. The anime follows two detectives investigating a vicious assault on a reclusive artist, with one of the detectives becoming dangerously obsessed with the assailant, who is armed with a baseball bat. The trailer heralding the series' return is packed with plenty of mind-bending imagery, reflecting its characters' fragile states of mind.

Paranoia Agent is also available to stream on the official FUNimation website and will be available on DVD later this year. The series arrives on Adult Swim's Toonami block Saturday, May 25 at 1 AM ET/PT.

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels

After three seasons set during the Victorian era in Western Europe, Penny Dreadful is coming to America for its upcoming sequel series Penny Dreadful: City of Angels. Set in Los Angeles during the 1930s, the latest trailer explores racial tensions between the Los Angeles Police Department and the Mexican-American community as the city is rocked by a gruesome murder. Meanwhile, supernatural forces cause the city to descend into chaos.

Created, written and executive produced by John Logan, Penny Dreadful: City of Angels stars Daniel Zovatto, Natalie Dormer, Nathan Lane, Jessica Garza, Kerry Bishé, Ethan Peck, Adriana Barraza, Michael Gladis, Dominic Sherwood and Johnathan Nieves, as well as Piper Perabo, Amy Madigan, Brent Spiner, Lorenza Izzo, Lin Shaye and Adam Rodriguez in recurring roles. Pokemon Journeys: The Series

As the enduringly popular anime adaptation of the Pokemon franchise continues to thrill millions of fans worldwide, the most recent season -- rebranded as Pokemon Journeys: The Series -- is coming to Netflix this June. The trailer for the upcoming season has Ash Ketchum and his trusty Pikachu make new friends as they explore the Galar region, an immersive world first introduced in the latest video-game installment, Pokemon Sword & Shield.

Snowpiercer

Less than a month away from its premiere, TNT has unveiled a new trailer for its television adaptation of Snowpiercer. In the upcoming science-fiction series, the Earth is gripped in a new Ice Age as the last remnants of humanity shelter on a bullet train traversing the planet at high speeds to keep from freezing. The latest trailer explores the rigid caste system onboard the eponymous train, with lower classes packed in the back compartments and subject to the whims of the higher classes.

Stargirl

DC Universe and The CW have steadily been releasing new promos and trailers for Stargirl ahead of the superhero series' premiere next month to introduce viewers to the eponymous teenage superhero. In the latest teaser, Courtney Whitmore accidentally destroys her stepfather's car as she learns how to wield the Cosmic Staff, leading her to verbally communicate with the classic DC artifact.

DC Universe's Stargirl stars Brec Bassinger as Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl) and Luke Wilson as Pat Dugan (S.T.R.I.P.E.). The series will premiere Monday, May 18 on DC Universe and Tuesday, May 19 on The CW.
