Simon Pegg this morning revealed the first trailer for A Fantastic Fear of Everything, the offbeat low-budget comedy from co-directors Crispian Mills and Chris Hopewell.
Pegg stars as Jack, a children's author turned crime novelist whose research into the lives of Victorian serial killers has turned him into a paranoid insomniac, whose irrational fear of being murdered makes it difficult for him to even leave the house. When a mysterious Hollywood executive inexplicably takes an interest in his script, Jack is forced to confront his worst demons, including his love life and the laundrette.
The film, which also stars Alan Drake, Amara Karan, Clare Higgins and Sheridan Smith, opens June 8 in the United Kingdom. No U.S. release date has been set.
