The world of collectibles rarely fails to cover a wide breadth of material in any given week and this one is no exception. The MiniMates franchise is adding new waves featuring both the Fantastic Four and the Thundercats. Meanwhile, there are also two different Joker figures from "The Dark Knight," a super-detailed Yoda figure from Sideshow, a first look at Mattel's packaging for their Watchmen line which launches this month and plenty more.

MINIMATES | Toys R Us and Diamond Select Toys have a good thing going with the toy store's exclusive MiniMates waves. Now on the 15th installment, the latest wave focuses on the Fantastic Four. The 2-packs include a "Flamed On" Human Torch and Annihilus, Silver Surfer and a Ben Grimm that transforms into The Thing, Galactus' Heralds Air-Walker and Firelord and Hulk and Juggernaut as they appeared in the recent Marvel Comics event, "Fear Itself." The packs are available only at Toys R Us stores and TRU.com.

WATCHMEN | Mattel's Scott Neitlich took to the camera on YouTube, showing off the packaging for the upcoming web-exclusive figures based on Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' "Watchmen." Each figure comes in a book-shaped, slipcase-covered display box complete with card art. Keep watching to see how Snake Face from the Masters of the Universe Classics line gets so serpentine.

MATTYCOLLECTOR | Speaking of Mattycollector's upcoming offerings, the full line-up of releases for January 15th has been revealed. That day sees new figures like Rorshach from the aforementioned Watchmen line for sale, as well as Netossa from Masters of the Universe Classics and Blue Lantern Saint Walker in the DC Universe line. Figures go on sale at 9 AM PST.

SUPERHERO MOVIES | Kotobukiya announced that they scored the licenses to two highly anticipated comic book movies over on their Facebook page. The Japanese statue and toy makers will produce pieces based on both "Man of Steel" and "Iron Man 3." That's all we've got for now, but look forward to images soon enough as both movies premiere later this year.

MORTAL KOMBAT | If you've ever wondered what goes into the actual production of statues, check out the photos on Pop Culture Shock's Facebook page. They went to Hong Kong and snapped a series of photos showing everything from molds and heads to the cleaning process and quality control.

THUNDERCATS | Icon Heroes in conjunction with Diamond Select Toys and Art Asylum have some big little news for Thundercats fans: the first look at the third wave of Thundercats MiniMates! The latest series includes Chetara, Tygra, WilyKit, WilyKat and Ro-Bear Berbil Bill all done in the style of the classic 80s cartoon.

THE DARK KNIGHT | Even though Christopher Nolan ended his Batman trilogy with last year's "The Dark Knight Returns," the franchise continues to inspire the makers of fine collectibles the world over. Hong Kong-based Hot Toys is preparing the second version of Heath Ledger's Joker from "The Dark Knight." This one comes with all the accessories you see above as well as his trademark coat, several weapons and extra hands.

THE DARK KNIGHT | Square Enix is also continuing the Bat-love with a pair of figures from "The Dark Knight" and "The Dark Knight Rises." Ledger's Joker and Anne Hathaway's Catwoman join the company's Play Arts Kai line of super-articulated figures. Each comes with extra hands, heads and weapons, and interested parties can purchase the figures through their US distributor Sideshow Collectibles.

CONAN THE BARBARIAN | By Crom, this is one crazy statue. Sideshow's Conan the Barbarian: Fury of the Beast polystone diorama not only features Conan attacking a giant monster, but also comes with three hands each wielding a different weapon: axe, dagger or broadsword. The 28-inch-tall piece is out in August and if you like your beasts of a different color, snag the Sideshow exclusive version which is the same but with a black paint job.

STAR WARS | Whatever you might think of the Star Wars prequels, there has to be some part of you that was giddy when Yoda started flipping around and kicking ass. To relive those adventures at home, Sideshow Collectibles is now offering a Yoda figure in their Jedi Master Sixth Scale. The 5.5-inch figure comes with a ton of extra hands, a cane, on and off lightsabers, two different heads and both his Jedi Council chair and hover chair. If you get the Sideshow exclusive version, you'll also score a Holocron Cube. The figure is available for pre-order now and is available for purchase in June.

MONOPOLY | It's time to exercise your right to vote in something that's really important: Monopoly board pieces. Head over to the Monopoly Facebook page where you can vote for your favorite game piece. The piece with the lowest number of votes becomes retired forever. But there's another issue on the ballot: which piece will replace the banished one. YOu can chose between a toy robot, helicopter, cat, guitar or diamond ring. If you're not the type who wants to decide the fate of an icon, pick up the Golden Token version of Monopoly in February which will be the last version featuring all the classic pieces, as well as all five proposed replacements.
