TOYING AROUND: SDCC Exclusives From Funko, Dark Horse & More!

Can you feel the energy in the air? That's the entire geek community charging up for Comic Con International: San Diego starting on July 24. Plenty of fans are prepping their to-buy lists, putting the finishing touches on their costumes or figuring out the perfect order to get signatures in while others are mapping out the con floor to maximize their ability to get exclusives. This week companies like Funko, Dark Horse, Icon Heroes, Kotobukiya and Bif Bang Pow might have made that process a bit more difficult by showing off even more goodies that can only be purchased there (or online moments later for inflated prices). Of course, the collectible community continues to show off new, wider release products all the time, so there's a few more things from Sideshow Collectibles, NECA and more to check out as well!

FUNKO SDCC EXCLUSIVES | When it comes to San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, Funko's motto seems to be "can't stop, won't stop." Over on Marvel.com the company showed off the flocked Rocket Raccoon Pop Vinyl as well as a con-exclusive set of Marvel Mystery Minis that includes Metallic versions of Spider-Man, Hulk, X-Force Deadpool, Glow-in-the-Dark Dark Phoenix and regular versions of Hulk, Blue Deadpool, Deadpool, Thor, Phoenix, Spidey, Thanos and Ultron.

But that's far from all. By way of press release Funko also announced a Disney Mystery Mini set featuring Buzz Lightyear, the Cheshire Cat, Wreck-It Ralph, Alice, Donald Duck, Wall*E, the Beast and Belle. Meanwhile, "Firefly" stars Mal and Jayne get ReAction variants with their classic weapons, Hannibal Lecter gets a blood-splattered Pop Vinyl and SpongBog SquarePants gets mashed up with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in this SpongeBob Leonardo and Plankton Shredder 2-pack.

Finally, for now at least, "Despicable Me 2" stars Dave and Carl will have purple variant Pop Vinyl figures for purchase along with glow-in-the-dark versions of "Adventure Time" stars Princess Bubblegum and BMO and blood -splattered Jules and Vincent from Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction."

DARK HORSE SDCC EXCLUSIVES | Last week, Robot 6 ran down Dark Horse's full slate of SDCC exclusives, but there's one collectible in there we just had to shout out, specifically this plush Itty Bitty Hellboy! Based on the "Itty Bitty Hellboy" comic by "Tiny Titans" creators Art Baltazar and Franco, this huggable version of everyone's favorite demonic paranormal investigator stands 7.25-inches tall, is limited to 500 pieces and sports a Comic-Con International T-shirt.

KOTOBUKIYA SDDC EXCLUSIVES | Kotobukiya's teaming up with a pair of different outlets for two more SDCC exclusive statues. Treasure Island Sports has a Grey Hulk ArtFx piece that's limited to 2000 pieces. Meanwhile over at the Action Figure Xpress booth will have a metallic version of the company's Spider-Woman Bishoujo piece in all its crouch-y glory. Both can be pre-ordered on the respective sites and picked up at the show.

BIF BANG POW EXCLUSIVES | If you're a fan of "The Big Bang Theory," "The Twilight Zone" and "Star Trek: The Next Generation" or are looking forward to the upcoming Cartoon Network series "Mike Tyson Mysteries," Bif Bang Pow has a exclusives ready for you in San Diego. BBP has a Sheldon wearing a Hawkman T-shirt action figure, Data and La Forge bobbleheads based on the episode "Elementary, Dear Data" a Mego-like Mike Tyson figure or a new line of 3 3/4-inch "Zone" figures painted in color. The Rod Serling-related figures include Gremlin, Bob Wilson, Invader, Kanamit, Talky Tina and Henry Bemis.

ICON HEROES SDDC EXCLUSIVES | For their SDCC exclusives, Icon Heroes selected a pair for Masters of the Universe and Star Trek fans. 1,000 fans of She-Ra can walk away with a Filmation Sword of Protection Letter Opener while only 150 folks can score a pair of yellow "Star Trek" logo bookends. Both will be available at the Action Figure Xpress Booth.

HULK | Hulk fans might not be getting a film based on the beloved "Planet Hulk" storyline anytime soon, but they can pick up a Sideshow Collectibles statue version of King Hulk from the end of the story. This version of the Jade Giant can only be purchased through Sideshow's website, features the armor he wore when he returned to Earth and stands 28 inches tall. The piece ships in January.

DEATHSTROKE | Earlier this week, DC announced over on MTV that they're kicking off a new Deathstroke comic book by Tony S. Daniel and Sandu Florea. At the same time, they also unveiled the 6-inch tall bust of Slade Wilson designed by Jim Lee in the New 52 costume. Deathstroke debuts in January.

STAR WARS | The most fearsome man in the galaxy is getting his own life size recreation from Sideshow Collectibles. Darth Vader here follows in the footsteps of equally large versions of Han Solo in Carbonite and Boba Fett, all of which can be proudly displayed in your place assuming you've got an extra eight grand and the space for, basically, three incredibly large adults in armor to just stand around in your living room. Speaking of large, this version of Vader stands over seven feet tall and comes on a light-up base. He even comes with two different sets of arms as you can see in the photos. Darth ships next June.

REACTION HORROR | At this year's Toy Fair, when Funko showed off a huge line-up of ReAction figures, one of the lines featured a variety of horror icons. Now they have PR shots and an August release date so there's plenty of time to get them for Halloween. The line-up includes Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Pinhead, Eric Draven from "The Crow" and Sam from "Trick 'r Treat."

ALIENS | The gang over at NECA are clearly huge fans of the Alien franchise. Just look at this giant, 15-inch tall and 30-inch long Xenomorph Queen action figure based on the 1986 James Cameron sequel "Aliens." She sports 30 points of articulation, some of which are in the tail and actually comes with different inner mouth parts. The toy hits shelves in October.

KILL BILL | It's a great time to be a fan of both collectibles and Quentin Tarantino's films because the action figures are coming fast and furious this year. Funko's adding to the fun with a line of "Kill Bill" Pop Vinyl figures including The Bride, Bill, O-Ren Ishii, Gogo Yubari and a Crazy 88. They debut in September.
