Comic book characters are huge these days. They continue to inspire adaptations on both the big and small screen, a variety of reboots and plenty of collectibles. Just this week, we saw new versions of Scarlet Witch, Catwoman, Wolverine, Juggernaut, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, "New Teen Titans," "Preacher" and plenty of others from companies ranging from Hasbro and Hot Toys to NECA and Kotobukiya. Join us as we detail the week's biggest collectible news.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR | Though she's one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's newer characters, Scarlet Witch continues to wow viewers with each appearance. Along similar lines, Hot Toys raises eyebrows every time they release another spot-on movie-based figure like this one based on Elizabeth Olsen's character in "Captain America: Civil War." The figure comes with extra hands including ones with translucent tips, power accessories and even a tiny Ant-Man.

BATMAN RETURNS | While we're on the subject of badass, big screen comic book women, survey the glory of Michele Pfeiffer's Catwoman from "Batman Returns." This quarter scale take comes from NECA as part of the film-based line that already includes Michael Keaton's Batman and Danny DeVito's Penguin. This 18-inch-tall figure comes with 30 points of articulation, whip, taser and two heads -- one more relaxed, the other far more distressed from the end of the film. She ships in October.

X-MEN | At this year's Toy Fair, Hasbro showed off a variety of new Marvel Legends figures including most of the upcoming X-Men wave. Just recently, the company showed off the two hold outs: brown costume Wolverine and the complete Juggernaut Build-A-Figure. The rest of the 6-inch wave consists of Cable, Deadpool, Phoenix, Kitty Pryde, Iceman, Rogue and Havok and will be available in July.

STAR WARS | As any Star Wars fan knows, the universe constantly strives to find balance between the dark and light sides. That came across in the collectible landscape this week as you can see in the next two posts. First, Kotobukiya brings the light with the Yoda and R2-D2 Dagobah 2-pack which comes with a 2.5-inch Yoda, a 3.5-inch R2-D2 and even a Force Ghost version of Yoda. The Jedi comes with regular and concentrating heads while Artoo can stand on either two or three legs! The gang ships in November.

STAR WARS | For a look at the dark side, Sideshow Collectibles offers up one of the more intimidating-looking examples from the franchise: Darth Maul. The 19.5-inch-tall Premium Format Figure statue comes with fabric robes and the double-sided lightsaber. If you pick up the Sideshow Exclusive version, you'll also score the severed version as seen in "The Phantom Menace." Look for him to ship next summer.

TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES | As "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows" flip kicks into theaters this weekend, fans of this new take on the franchise that just won't quit can scope out three statues based on the film from Vault Productions by way of Sideshow Collectibles. Leonardo finds himself alone against new additions Bebop and Rocksteady who finally make their big screen debut in this film.

WONDER GIRL | Cassie Sandsmark burst onto the scene thanks to legendary comic creator John Byrne and his run on "Wonder Woman," but it took a bit longer for her to get into her most iconic costume. The simple shirt and jeans look served her well for a while and now acts as the basis for her Kotobukiya DC Bishoujo piece. She stands 8.7 inches tall and ships in December.

SPACE GHOST | Mezco continues to build one of the coolest small-ish scale lines of figures around with the One:12 Collective. This week the company added Space Ghost to the ever-growing pre-order list. The figure based on the iconic Alex Toth design comes with a variety of hands that can be used to launch the freeze, force, destroyer and magna rays from his powerbands. Though Jayce and Jan didn't make the cut this time around, their monkey pal Blip did and he even sports 10 points of articulation to go along with SG's 32. The space-faring pair ship at the end of the year.

PREACHER | Just last week, Funko unveiled the first wave of Pop Vinyls based on AMC's take on "Preacher" and now the company already has store-specific exclusives in the works. Previews scored Tulip while preaching Jesse Custer will hit at GameStop and bloody Cassidy saunters into Hot Topic. All three will be available in August.

WORLD'S GREATEST HEROES | Fans of a kinder, gentler kind of super hero toy will think that the latest two lines from Figures Toy Company are just the cat's pajamas. The World's Greatest Heroes line brings Shazam and the "New Teen Titans" groups into the retro world. Shazam, Shazam Jr., Mary Marvel and Captain Sivana make up the former while Nightwing, Starfire, Cyborg and Raven comprise the latter.

CONAN | Feast your eyes on the pride of Cimmeria! The man who will be king: Conan! Pop Culture Shock's 1:3 scale state of Arnold Schwarzenegger stands ready to do battle in either his more traditional look or his war paint version as seen in the 1984 film "Conan the Barbarian." Both 2.5-foot-tall pieces will only be available for purchase through PCS either individually or together as a 2-pack.

BIF BANG POW SDCC EXCLUSIVES | Bif Bang Pow will have a trio of "Big Bang Theory" figures available at Comic-Con International: San Diego this year. All three are versions of Sheldon Cooper wearing different superhero themed T-shirts. Take your pick between Superman, Riddler and Shazam. They can be purchased at the show or online.

ANIMAL WARRIORS OF THE KINGDOM | Finally, if you've got some extra money and want to support a cool looking action figure line, check out the Animal Warriors of the Kingdom Kickstarter from Spero Studios. If the line gets funded, the first wave will consist of Adventure Armor Pale, Spectral Pale, Chunarian Guardsman, Chunarian Archer, Horrid Soldier and Horrid Marksman plus a pair of weapon packs.
