Comics and television share a good deal in common. While the latter medium is clearly more popular to a wider audience these days, both feature sequential stories told by dedicated creators who want to tell the best possible story. That's reflected in this week's round-up of collectible announcements with comics dominating and TV coming in a close second. We have everything from Batgirl and Batman to Deadpool, 'Breaking Bad" and "Game of Thrones." Plus so much more!

BATGIRL | The one and only Batgirl will join Sideshow's line of DC Comics Premium Format Figure statues next summer. Barbara Gordon's alter ego stands 22.5 inches tall and comes with a flowing cape and Batarang at the ready. The Sideshow exclusive version ships with an extra head featuring the character's old school, shorter hairstyle. Both versions ship next July.

THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS | Earlier this year, Mezco announced their new line of ONE:12 figures that begins with Batman from the seminal "Dark Knight Returns." Now the figure is actually up for pre-order along with a variety of new photos showing of the toy's 30+ points of articulation, alternate hands, weapons and cloth costume. The futuristic version of Gotham's greatest protector will ship on January 12, 2015.

DEADPOOL | Deadpool isn't a mutant, but that doesn't mean he didn't want to be part of the X-Men at one time. While trying to endear himself to his teammates-in-his-head, the Merc with a Mouth even changed his costume. Funko's next Deadpool Pop Vinyl will feature that blue and yellow look in a toy hitting this month!

CARNAGE | What do you get when you cross a psychopathic murderer with an alien creature that's equally crazy? Why Spider-Man villain Carnage, of course. The symbiote-empowered Cletus Kasady can face off against the Web Head forever now thanks to a piece from Kotobukiya that can be posed along with the good guy statue as well. While details are sparse on Koto's Facebook page, it does look like the right hand can be swapped out for a bladed version. Carnage ships in June.

VALIANT | CKRTLAB Toys has teamed up with Valiant Entertainment to unveil a new line of urban vinyl figures based on the comic company's stable of characters. They will stand around 5.5 inches tall and feature six points of articulation. While most of the line will debut at New York Comic Con, they did show off the first offering: X-O Manowar. 150 pieces of this figure will be available at the show as an exclusive.

GAME OF THRONES | Threezero and their production partners Sideshow Collectibles showed off their sixth scale figure of Eddard "Ned" Stark from HBO's "Game of Thrones." The 12.5 inch figure looks just like actor Sean Bean and comes with his weapons which can be sheathed in various items on his person. The piece ships in March.

BREAKING BAD | New York Comic Con might not be the exclusive collectible bonanza that Comic-Con International is, but there are still plenty of options for collectors. Mezco debuted their Jesse Pinkman exclusive from "Breaking Bad" which features the Vamonos Pest jumpsuit, a respirator and blue, lidded bin.

DESPICABLE ME | Funko unveiled a variety of new Despicable Me collectibles for fans of the DreamWorks series to gobble up. Two new Minions are being added to the Pop Vinyl series when Fire Alarm and Hulu Minions arrive in October. The next month will see the launch of the Mystery Minis blind boxes which include Gru, three Minions, one purple Minion, Margo, Edith, Agnes, El Macho, Dr. Nefario, Gru's pet Kyle and the unicorn won by Gru in the first film.

LOOT CRATE | Loot Crate, the service that sends subscribers a box of geeky gear and collectibles every month, announced their theme for October and it's Fear! According to the site, the box will include an exclusive Walking Dead item as well as a Capcom item and a new T-shirt.
