When Disney+ launches, there will be lots of original series hitting, and this includes new versions of Pixar movies. At the Disney Investor Day today, a new series of Toy Story shorts was announced for the streaming service.
The new series of shorts will be called Forky Asks a Question and there will be 10 shorts in the series, all available on the first day of launch for Disney+.
That wasn't the only big news for Disney+ when it comes to the Toy Story. There will also be another short that will be based on the character of Bo Peep titled "Lamp Life."
Disney is banking on fans loving the character of Forky, who will make his debut in Toy Story 4, hitting theaters on June 21. That movie will also feature Bo Peep's return to the franchise after she departed the family of toys following Toy Story 2. Now, a short time after the two characters show up in Toy Story 4, they will get new shorts to delve deeper into the characters on the new streaming service.
Directed by Josh Cooley, Toy Story 4 stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Keanu Reeves, Annie Potts, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, Blake Clark, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Tony Hale. The film opens June 21.
