At D23, Disney Chief Creative Officer John Lasseter revealed that "Toy Story 4" will be a love story about Woody and Bo Peep during an interview with CNBC.

"It's something we've never done before," Lasseter divulged. "It's a love story between Woody... and Bo Peep. Woody loves Bo Peep!"

"At Pixar and at Disney, we only make sequels if we come up with a story that's as good or better than the original. That's our rule. We don't do things just to print money," he added.

John Lasseter will c0-direct the film with Josh Cooley from a script by Rashida Jones and Will McCormack, based on a story by Lassetter and franchise veterans Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Lee Unkrich.

"Toy Story 4" is set for release June 15, 2017.
