An alternate ending for Toy Story 4 would have seen Woody (Tom Hanks) and Bo (Annie Potts) encounter a far different conclusion than what was seen in the finished product.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the home release of the Pixar film features a new ending in which Bo decides to abandon her life on the road in favor of going to live with the "kid from the store" -- presumably Harmony, whom Gabby Gabby (Mad Med's Christina Hendricks) spent most of the film chasing.

Those who saw the film in theaters may find this ending a bit strange, as Bo seemed quite content in her new life and never really had any connection with Harmony or any other child. Furthermore, it would have almost certainly impacted Woody's ending as well, as there's little chance he would have left his kid if not for Bo's encouragement.

Directed by Josh Cooley, Toy Story 4 stars Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Keanu Reeves, Annie Potts, Don Rickles, Estelle Harris, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, Jeff Pidgeon, Blake Clark, Keegan-Michael Key, Jordan Peele and Tony Hale. The film arrives on Digital HD Oct. 1 and on Blu-ray and 4K UHD Oct. 8.
