With the Underwater Hunt well underway, Tower of God's Regulars are being tested like never before.
After the rules of play were established in Season's Episode 11, "The Underwater Hunt: Part One," the concluding part, Episode 12, introduces some additional hazards to the board. In the clip below, Rankers Hansung Yu, Lero-Ro and Quant attempt to identify an intruder, only to be interrupted by another.
As the trio of Rankers zooms in on their live feed, which shows someone battling La Po Bia Ren, one of King Jahad's Royal Enforcers, the footage cuts out before they can get a better look at Ren's assailant. The glitch appears to be the work of another mysterious figure -- a blue-haired, blue-eyed young man that looks just like Khun -- situated elsewhere in the test area. Test Director Yu shrugs off the incident as "interference" and denies Quant's offer to intervene. Worst still, Yu's nonchalance does nothing to assuage Lero-Ro's growing distrust of his superior.
Based on the web manhwa of the same name, Tower of God is the first co-production between Crunchyroll and WEBTOON and launched as part of the anime brand's inaugural Originals slate in April.
New episodes of Tower of God are released every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. PT on Crunchyroll.
