Tower of God's current test, a not-so-innocent game of Tag, is heating up as hidden strategies and agendas emerge to subvert the game's rules.
Season 1's Episode 9, "The One-Horned Ogre," features the continuation of Hatz' confrontation with Ranker Quant, whose participation in the test is pushing the Regulars to their limits. However, as the exclusive clip below reveals, the lone samurai isn't above calling for aid.
Quant and Hatz are squaring off during Team B's participation in the Tag game. It's Quant's job to act as both an "It" and capture a badge from Team B's own "It" in order to beat then. Hatz, a Scout, is tasked with holding the superior Regular up as he ascends a shadowy staircase. Well aware that of the difference in their experience level, the swordsman boldly draws Quant into a vulnerable position... only to learn that his allies are nowhere to be found.
Based on the web manhwa of the same name, Tower of God is the first co-production between Crunchyroll and WEBTOON and launched as part of the anime brand's inaugural Originals slate in April.
New episodes of Tower of God are released every Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. PT on Crunchyroll.
