Crunchyroll has released a final trailer for its original anime series, Tower of God. The trailer further outlines the series' premise while promising action and emotion.
The series focuses on a young boy named Twenty-Fifth Bam, who is striving to reach the titular Tower of God and reunite with his childhood friend Rachel. Bam is a Regular, meaning that he is not beholden to the rules of the Tower. This makes him resistant to magic and also gives him an edge as he faces several opponents on his journey to the top of the Tower.
In addition to outlining the main thrust of the series, the trailer also showcases other characters who dwell in the Tower, including Bam's best friend Khun Aguero Agnes and the reptilian Anaak Jahad.
Based on the Webtoon series written and illustrated by Lee Jong-hui/SIU, the Tower of God anime is directed by Takashi Sano, with Erika Yoshida serving as writer. Voice talent includes Taichi Ichikawa as Bam and Saori Hayami as Rachel. The series also spawned a hit mobile game of the same name. Tower of God premieres April 1 on Crunchyroll.
