Bam and Khun would almost never be in a position where they would face off against one another in Tower of God. The two are on the same team, so they have worked together to climb the tower, combining their talents and strengths to move on to the next level.
And in most cases, it takes both of them to continue on, with Khun’s abilities as a Light Bearer and Bam’s strength carrying them. But as in all series where there are characters who participate in battles, it’s impossible not to consider whether or not one is stronger than the other, and who would win if they faced off against one another.
10 BAM: He Has A Strong Relationship With Shinsu
Shinsu is one of the most powerful things to exist in the Tower, and not everybody is easily able to use it to their advantage. While most Irregulars do have this ability, Bam’s is exceptionally strong and is noted with surprise by those surrounding him. He can manipulate it to his will in battle, which can only add to the physical strength that he can already use in his hand to hand combat. Even Khun’s shinsu abilities might not be able to add up.
9 KHUN: He Can Block His Opponents’ Movements
As mentioned above, Khun is also able to use shinsu, which would potentially make for an interesting battle between the two characters. While Bam’s abilities are strong, Khun has a very specific ability he’s able to use during battle, which is the ability to stop an opponents’ movements altogether.
The ability to halt Bam in his physical attacks is very advantageous to Khun, who would be able to use the extra time to come up with a strategy to combat him.
8 BAM: He Is Resistant To Shinsu
That said, there is every chance that Khun’s shinsu might not even affect Bam. While shinsu in general can have some negative effects on the people who are wading through it, Bam doesn’t seem to even notice it. In fact, he often shows no reaction at all to powerful shinsu that others notice right away. This could render Khun’s abilities moot, since Bam might not even notice his attempts to stop him, giving him an advantage in a fight.
7 KHUN: He Is Able To Manipulate The Rules
As A Regular, Khun has been brought up inside the system of the Tower, so he has a better understanding of it than Bam. This also gives him the ability to bend the rules a bit in order to suit his needs a bit better. A combat situation between Khun and Bam might come in the form of a test, which would be an ideal way for Khun to figure out how to change the circumstances enough to gain the upper hand.
6 BAM: He Has The Exceptional Power & Strength Of An Irregular
Though it’s not clear in the series if Irregulars are powerful because they are able to find a way into the Tower or if they are able to find a way into the Tower because they’re powerful, it is certainly the case that Irregulars possess an incredible amount of physical strength.
Bam is no exception to this rule, and he has shown time and again just how powerful he is as he’s climbed the Tower. Though Khun is no slouch in this regard, Bam would be able to overpower him.
5 KHUN: He Is Able To Multitask
Light Bearers have the responsibility of both strategizing and sharing information with their teammates as they climb the Tower and also defending their Lighthouses against attack. This means Kuhn has a lot of experience in multitasking, which gives him a leg up in combat situations that require him to think quickly on his feet. This skill would make him able to launch attacks while also thinking of what he needs to do next, keeping his opponent in mind and creating openings for himself at the same time.
4 BAM: He Has A Very High Combat Skill Level
Bam is very good in hand to hand combat, and that makes him a formidable opponent to anyone he might face off with. While Khun is certainly no slouch in this department, he would definitely have his hands full with Bam, whose skills are definitely superior to Khun’s own. From the very basic level of who the better fighter is, Bam has this one in the bag, and if that was the only quality that this decision was based on, Bam would absolutely win.
3 KHUN: He Has All Of The Information About The Environment
Since Khun and Bam know each other only in the context of the Tower, it is safe to assume that, were they to fight, this battle would also take place in the Tower. Most battles happen in the dark, which is why Khun’s status as a Light Bearer is so important to the team’s ability to climb the levels and pass the tests. Without his lead, Bam would be fumbling in the dark, giving Khun a distinct advantage over him as someone who knows everything about the environment around them.
2 BAM: He Has Different Fighting Approaches For Different Situations
This ties into the fact that Bam is simply excellent in combat; he has great situational awareness, and he takes different approaches to facing an opponent based on what he’s trying to accomplish. This is mostly seen in whether he takes a defensive or offensive position. His stance and hand poses will change depending on whether he’s going on the attack, trying to refrain from hurting his opponent, or avoiding blows to himself. Khun would have to continuously note the different choices Bam makes to keep up with him.
1 KHUN: He Is A Good Strategist
Light Bearers in general make incredibly good strategists since they’re able to see the environment around them and keep track of who’s where in a given space. Khun could not only use the environment to his advantage to avoid Bam’s attacks, but he could also use it strategically since he knows this information is not something Bam has. As the strategist for the team, Khun also knows Bam’s strengths and weaknesses and would definitely use them to defeat him.
