Totally Spies! is probably one of the most well-known animated shows of the 2000s. Though it was targeted at girls, there were boys watching it too thanks to the interesting storylines about a female spy group using gadgets and their fighting skills to investigate different criminal cases. It was part of a trend at the time of all-girl spy shows that also included series like She Spies and V.I.P

Obviously, the show's quality started going down in the later seasons, but it still had some good writing all around. While most of the best-rated episodes come from the show's first season, there are still a few late-run gems that rank high among fans.

10 Worst: "Inferior Designer!" (Season 6) — 5.4

"Inferior Designer!" is a weird episode, to say the least. The storyline is quite absurd while still being presented seriously. This dissonance is probably why the episode failed in the eyes of the audience.

After top designers around the world start disappearing, Sam, Alex, and Clover are sent to investigate the case. It turns out that Maggie Trendset, a designer with awful works, has taken over the position of the official interior designer in the White House.

9 Best: "Spies Vs. Spies" (Season 1) — 7.6

Totally Spies - Spies vs. Spies

"Spies vs. Spies" is a very interesting Totally Spies episode because it has one of the most unique storylines in the entire show. That is why so many fans love this episode so much.

Sam, Alex, and Clover are fired after three older spies show up and make Jerry believe that they are on his side. Eventually, Sam starts suspecting that the old spies are actually up to no good (which turns out to be true).

8 Worst: "0067" (Season 4) — 5.4

Totally Spies - 0067

"0067", like other similar episodes that failed, has a quite absurd and laughable plot compared to the rest of the storylines in the show.

In the episode, Jerry is hired to work on a film while the girls have to act as temporary directors of WOOHP. Jerry is unaware that the film director is Marco Lumiere in disguise who wants to take revenge on the producers who refused to finance his films.

7 Best: "Spy Gladiators" (Season 1) — 7.7

Totally Spies - Spy Gladiators

"Spy Gladiators" is an episode that proves that pitting protagonists against each other is often a good idea if you do it in a smart and imaginative way.

Sam, Alex, and Clover have to go undercover on a popular game show known as Fear Intimidation Gladiator Habitat, or simply F.I.G.H.T. Several competitors have gone missing after losing on the show and the girls must now investigate the case.

6 Worst: "Vide-O-No!" (Season 6) — 5.3

Totally Spies - Vide-o-No!

"Vide-o-No!" is one of the later series episodes that wasn't received well. Even though the spies usually use different gadgets, integrating modern tech into the show has not always been successful, and this episode shows why.

Video game developers from all over the world start disappearing and the girls are sent on a mission to find out why this is happening. Unexpectedly, they are imprisoned in a video game.

5 Best: "Queen For A Day" (Season 1) — 7.7

Totally Spies - Queen for a Day

"Queen for a Day" is an interesting episode thanks mostly to its premise, but the underlying themes seem to be the real reason why the episode was so well-received.

Sam, Alex, and Clover travel to the fictional African nation of Lyrobia. The local Queen Tassara was almost kidnapped with an anti-gravity ray, and the girls have to find out who wanted to kidnap her and why.

4 Worst: "So Not Totally Groove-y" (Season 5) — 5.2

Sam, Clover, and Alex in Totally Spies - So Not Totally Groovy.

"So Not Totally Groove-y" doesn't really feel like an episode that would fail, but it ended up getting bad reviews from audiences. Perhaps, the plot wasn't as engaging as usual because of all of the shopping the girls did.

Jerry tells the girls that there is no mission for them, so they decide to go shopping and visit The Groove, their favorite outdoor shopping mall. Everything goes well and they are happy that there aren't many others shopping, but naturally problems eventually arise and ruin their day off.

3 Best: "Malled" (Season 1) — 7.7

Totally Spies - Malled

"Malled" is probably an episode that could be considered a surprise success. It has the kind of weird premise that most poorly-reviewed episodes have, but it manages to work through its storyline with a lot more inventiveness.

Stores around the world seem to be abducting people. Sam, Alex, and Clover travel to Australia to investigate this. At the same time, Clover is accused of shoplifting, but Mandy turns out to be the culprit in the end.

2 Worst: "Futureshock!" (Season 4) — 5.2

Totally Spies - Futureshock

"Futureshock!" is one of those episodes that sounds fun on paper, but turns out to be pretty bad once you actually watch it. The plot is absurd and uses one of the most overused tropes in film and TV: Time travel.

During the cleaning of Jerry's office, Alex discovers a time machine that sends the girls to the future. They discover that Beverly Hills is ruled by Mandy who plans to "Mandify" everyone on the planet. Naturally, the trio team up with their future selves to defeat Mandy.

1 Best: "Like, So Totally Not Spies, Part 1" (Season 4) — 7.7

Totally Spies - Like, So Totally Not Spies, Part 1

"Like, So Totally Not Spies, Part 1" is the first part of a double episode in season four and is a rare later episode that fans really liked. Perhaps the reason why it was so well-received is that it dealt with what makes Sam, Alex, and Clover great spies.

Jerry's evil brother Terrence decides to finally get his revenge. While the girls are shopping (again), they realize they want to get better at fashion, and a strange woman (Helga, who was sent by Terrence) sells them bracelets that later make the girls frustrated with their jobs as spies.
