Here is an archive of all the past top five lists I've done over the years.

In a recent trailer for Captain America: Civil War, viewers were treated to the sight of the Vision rocking a V-neck sweater. That reminded me of how awesome it is to see the Vision sometimes wearing clothes other than his superhero outfit. Here, then, are the top five Vision non-superhero outfits.

NOTE: It's weird how rarely the Vision wore non-superhero outfits during his time in the Avengers. Dude was wearing superhero outfits CONSTANTLY. I'm not counting the Vision mini-series from 1994, as the Vision wore a trench coat during that series, but just over his costume.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

The current excellent Vision ongoing series by Tom King, Gabriel Hernandez Walta and Jordie Bellaire is all about the Vision trying to create his own "perfect" suburban family, complete with a wife, a son and a daughter. Thus, Vision wears a few outfits in the series.

First, in issue #1, here he is in his business suit, complete with the Vision logo tie clip...

In issue #4, he tosses the football around with his kids in more casual wear...

In Vision #3, we see him wearing just pajama pants...

Which his "wife" helps him get rid of...

This reminds me of a scene in the fourth issue of Vision and Scarlet Witch (Volume 2) by Steve Englehart, Richard Howell and Jim Mooney, where the Vision and the Scarlet Witch hang out in their living room in their bedwear...

The following issue (also by Englehart and Howell), the Vision looks snazzy in his tuxedo...

Go to the next page for the last honorable mention and then the beginning of our glorious top five...

In Solo Avengers #5, in a Scarlet Witch story by Dennis Mallonee and John Ridgway, we see the Vision rocking a turtleneck to a Mets game...

5. The Vision's first casual wear

In Avengers #92, by Roy Thomas, Sal Buscema and George Roussos, we got what I BELIEVE is the first time we see the Vision wearing a casual outfit, and it is quite the groovy ensemble...

4. T-Shirt and CAP?!?

In Vision and Scarlet Witch (Volume 2) #4 by Steve Englehart, Richard Howell and Jim Mooney, on the same page as a clever ad for Englehart's Coyote series, the Vision is rocking an odd T-Shirt, but was he also wearing, like, a CAP? Like a beret-like cap? Huh?!

3. Vision Logo Polo Shirt?!

In Avengers #254 (by Roger Stern, Bob Hall and a couple of inkers), the Vision has gone nuts and has tried to take over the world. The Avengers try to confront him, and he appears to them in a series of holograms. With the Scarlet Witch, he makes himself look human...

to the Black Knight and Hercules, he tries to appear threatening...

but the one that is the most disturbing, and the surest sign that he had gone evilly insane, he appeared to Wonder Man in a Vision Logo polo shirt...

This would be higher if it wasn't a hologram and thus sort of technically not an actual outfit.

2. You cannot be wearing that sweater!

In West Coast Avengers Annual #1 by Steve Englehart, Danny Fingeroth, M.D. Bright and Geof Isherwood, Wonder Man visits the vision and the Scarlet Witch and the Vision is rocking the most bizarre sweater look...

What's even odder is that in a scene set the NEXT day, we see the VIsion in his bathrobe early in the day..

but later, dude's back to the same sweater!

In-sane.

1. Rocking that speedo!

So in Avengers #137 (by Steve ENglehart, George Tuska and Vince Colletta), Thor is trying to put togwther a new Avengers team because they're down a few members, including the honeymooning newleyweds, Vision and Scarlet witch. When the Wasp turns him down (for reasons that seem sad in retrospect, knowing her marriage ends in divorce), we see the honeymooners and when I say we see them, I mean we SEE them...

That's the top five! Agree? Disagree? Let me know!
