Here is an archive of all the past top five lists I've done over the years.

In anticipation of the release of the Captain America: Civil War film, I thought it'd be fun to look at the coolest moments from the comic book that inspired it, Marvel's Civil War, by Mark Millar, Steve McNiven and Dexter Vines.

HONORABLE MENTIONS

In Civil War #5, the Punisher rescued an escaping Spider-man (who split from Iron Man's side). Captain America decides to let the Punisher stay on the team and help out. In #6, he regrets that decision...

I love the Vietnam/World War II compassion.

After the the whole "Clone of Thor" debacle, I liked how Invisible Woman was the voice of reason...

5. Old school secret identities

In Civil War #3, we see the "Secret Avengers" in their new identities and then changed into their work clothes in old-school, super cool superhero fashion...

4. Sick superhero burn

Daredevil (Iron Fist, actually, who was filling in for Daredevil during Civil War) burns Iron Man really well in Civil War #5...

It would work better coming from Matt Murdock, but it still works well.

Go to the next page for the top three!

3. The first superhero fight

The first real battle with the tow sides of superheroes ended with the awesome revelation of Thor showing up. It turned out to be the e not-so-awesome clone of Thor, but the initial moment was still really cool.

2. Spider-Man reveals his identity

This was the moment that really made the whole thing feel much, much bigger.

1. Captain America escapes from SHIELD

Debate whether it was appropriate for SHIELD to arrest Captain America when the law he was protesting had not even passed yet, but the scene of him escaping was perfection by McNiven, the epitiome of coolness..

The sight of Captain America riding the plane was a clear sign of how cool this series was going to look. McNiven is a rock star.

Okay, that's the top five! Agree? Disagree? Let me know!
