Kaplan and Mutti's series takes place in the near-future with an extraterrestrial conglomerate approaching the citizens of Earth not to conquer but to make a bargain: Open the planet as a spaceport for alien travelers in exchange for advanced technology. After one alien leaves the designated port and begins killing humans, the interstellar politics of the deal begin to grow tense as the hunt for the killer intensifies.

The comic book series is the third one co-created by Kaplan to currently be in development for television. His first Top Cow series, Eclipse, which he co-created with Giovanni Timpano is also in development with Skybound Entertainment. Additionally, Lost City Explorers, co-created by Kaplan and Alvaro Sarraseca with Aftershock Comics, is in development for television with Universal and Aftershock Entertainment.
