Iron Man has had many love interests during his superhero career, but an old relationship with fellow Avenger The Wasp (Janet Van Dyne) takes center stage on Alexander Lozano's cover of September's Tony Stark: Iron Man #4.

The creative team of writer Dan Slott and artist Sara Pichelli look to continue Iron Man's "Fresh Start" by dipping into the Armored Avenger's past to rekindle the romance between Tony and Janet, while introducing another potential recurring guest-star to the series who can join in on Iron Man's heroic adventures.

Lozano's cover for Issue #4 shows Tony and Janet wearing their respective uniforms minus helmets, with Janet holding Iron Man's with her fingertips. Their budding romance first started in Avengers #224, during a time when Iron Man's identity was still a secret to the public and his teammates, and Janet was freshly divorced from Hank Pym (Ant-Man/Giant-Man). However, once Janet learned it was Tony Stark under the Iron Man armor, she ended their relationship, not wanting to date someone who was a close friend to Hank.
