When We Learned of Tony Stark and Bruce Banner's Hidden Working Past

In the final issue (#3.4), with art by Luke Ross and Guru EFX, with Gillen scripting, we learn that what Tony did was actually FIX Bruce's shielding, as the shielding had made it so that the bomb would actually explode LARGER due to being sort of confined in on itself. So what Tony didn't reveal to Bruce was not that he sabotaged the bomb and thus led to Bruce turning into the Hulk, but rather that he kept the bomb from exploding in a BIGGER explosion, which would have killed Bruce. Since Bruce has been quite suicidal over the years, Tony didn't want him to know that the bomb might have killed him originally and thus the Hulk never would have existed...

Clever but dark stuff.
