Cult movie icon Tommy Wiseau is ready to embark on his own Star Wars adventure. The eccentric actor, writer, and director of the 2003 independent cult hit, The Room, made his interest in the franchise known across social media. "YOU'RE TEARING ME [APART] Star wars!" he wrote. "Don't be chicken put me in your Universe! Love you all, tW," tweeted Wiseau.Related: Yes, Tommy Wiseau Really Wants to Play the Joker

His request echoes earlier sentiments expressed by Wiseau when the filmmaker posted a promotion for a screening of The Room in Philadelphia which appeared to show him being force choked by Kylo Ren offscreen. The photo seems to be taken from a Star Wars fan edit, which retells the story of the Skywalker Saga using actors from The Room.

Tommy Wiseau emerged as a popular cult film celebrity after The Room developed a grassroots audience who celebrated what many critics hailed as "the worst movie of all time." Wiseau has been criticized, (and praised), for his acting performances in the past but his energetic presence onscreen and distinct style of dialogue are beloved by fans.

Fans of The Room are known for being extremely passionate about the film and its creator. Screenings of the movie have been compared in the past to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and fans often arrive with Wiseau's infamous lines of dialogue already memorized.

Star Wars has a long history of featuring beloved actors in small cameo roles. Daniel Craig, Simon Pegg, Tom Hardy and Jason Sudeikis have all appeared in the franchise in some capacity, many in parts that obscured their faces.

While Disney has yet to respond to Wiseau's request, if the actor did feature in a Star Wars project it wouldn't be the first time Wiseau received attention from a major Hollywood studio. The Disaster Artist, a book originally penned by The Room star Greg Sestero with Tom Bissel, chronicled the now-infamous production of the film. New Line Cinema adapted the story into a movie wherein James Franco starred as Wiseau.

For now, Sestero and Wiseau will be teaming up again as firefighters who must save New Orleans, in the upcoming horror film called Big Shark. The film was slated for release in 2019 but has since suffered several delays. A brief trailer for the film accompanied Wiseau's announcement but at the time of writing Big Shark has yet to be released.
