Tom Welling Comments On The Odds Of Playing Superman on "Supergirl"

In a recent interview with Buzzfeed, "Smallville" star Tom Welling reflected on his 10-year run as Clark Kent on the show and revealed that he's proud of the current crop of DC superhero shows. But there's one question and answer that didn't make its way into the final interview -- one asking whether or not Welling would ever consider playing Superman on the CBS series "Supergirl." Buzzfeed's Jarett Wieselman revealed the quote via Twitter.

"Supergirl" already features a few super-alums in its supporting cast. Helen Slater, who played Supergirl in the 1984 film, plays Kara Zor-el's mother while Dean Cain, the superman of "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," plays her father.

"Supergirl" airs on CBS on Mondays.
