During an appearance on Access Hollywood, "Smallville" star Tom Welling addressed the possibility of appearing on "Supergirl" and revealed that -- while he hasn't been officially asked onto it -- he does enjoy the show.

"Yeah! I've gotten a lot of questions about that, and the funny thing is, I've never been asked. They've never asked me. So, we'll see. It's a great show; I've seen it," he shared.

As to whether or not he'd be willing to put Superman's tights back on, he added, "I might need a little notice!"

In an earlier interview, he seemed a bit more hesitant, saying, "There's people who would like it... there's people who don't like it, but I will tell you that no one has ever actually asked me to do it. So, I don't know. It would be kind of odd. I don't know who he is at that point. He would obviously be Superman."

"Supergirl" already features a few super-alums in its supporting cast. Helen Slater, who played Supergirl in the 1984 film, plays Kara Zor-el's mother while Dean Cain, the superman of "Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman," plays her father.

"Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 pm EST on CBS. Developed by producers Greg Berlanti, Ali Adler and Andrew Kreisberg, the series stars Melissa Benoist, Calista Flockhart, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
