The age of the Marvel/Netflix partnership has come to an end, which means that we will not be seeing new seasons of Iron Fist or its sister shows. However, one Fist star knows what could have gone down during the third season.

Speaking to ComicBook.com, star Tom Pelphrey, who portrayed Ward Meachum, spoke about a plot element that would have shown up in Season 3, while Meachum and Danny Rand (Finn Jones) were traveling in Asia to learn more about the history of the Iron Fist.

"There was talk of almost like a, well, I think I can say this now, but like a kind of like a Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid kind of camaraderie, bonding." Pelphrey said. He also said that the second season "could not have ended on a bigger cliffhanger," and that if he were to be asked to reprise the role, his outlook was "never say never".

Season 2 saw Danny's former friend Davos (Sacha Dhawan) steal the power of the Iron Fist from him, and in the season finale the power was transferred to Colleen Wing (Jessica Henwick). Danny, meanwhile, learned to channel his chi through a pair of guns he took from former Iron Fist Orson Randall.

Both seasons of Iron Fist are currently streaming on Netflix.
