It's the end of two eras as we know it.Tom King and Jason Aaron are both in the process of writing their finals issues of Batman and Thor,  respectively. King made the announcement on his Twitter account, which prompted a response from Aaron.RELATED: Batman #80 Is Pure, Cinematic Comic Bliss

King's Batman run began in 2016 with the start of DC's Rebirth initiative. In December, he posted a rough outline of the remainder of his plans for the series, which would have taken him through Issue #105. However, this past May he announced that his run would be cut short, and that his final issue with the Caped Crusader would #85, releasing this December. King will be keeping busy, however. He is currently writing the script for the Ava DuVernay's New Gods and is also working on Strange Adventures, featuring Adam Strange.

Aaron has been writing Thor since November 2012, when he started with Thor: God of Thunder. Since then, he has written Thor, The Mighty Thor, The Unworthy Thor and God of Thunder Reborn. Aside from the God of Thunder, Aaron has also tackled Ghost Rider, Wolverine and The Punisher.
