Acclaimed DC writers Tom King and Gail Simone are having a hilarious argument over whose Bane is meaner and ... nakeder?The argument was instigated by a fan on Twitter appropriately named "Let's Talk About Bane," which compared Simone's Bane from her Secret Six comic to benevolent goddess Te Fiti from the Disney film Moana, and Tom King's Bane in his Batman run to the demonic form, Te KÄ.From there, things got a little unhinged as Gail Simone chimed in that her Bane was "MEANER BECAUSE YOU THINK HE CARES." King pivoted to a defense that his Bane was more naked than Simone's, but she refused to give ground.[EMBED_TWITTER]https://twitter.com/LetsBane/status/1191553939109556225[/EMBED_TWITTER]The Secret Six writer took Twitter for a quick history lesson when she brought up images -- retrieved suspiciously quick after King's comment -- that her Bane had been fully buck-naked several times in her comics years before King did it in Batman.King still contended that while Simone had beaten him to the naked punch several years in advance, his Bane still claimed the title of nakedest.
The exchange also included King creating the portmanteau of Bane and Penis as "Benis." So good luck getting that out of your head loyal comic book fans.
