Warner Bros. developing an animation/live-action hybrid Tom and Jerry film doesn't mean fans should expect to see nothing but a CGI cat and mouse wordlessly chase each other, nor does it mean the iconic rivals will be made to speak as they did in the critically disappointing Tom and Jerry: The Movie. That job will go to the rest of the cast, which continues to grow ever larger.

Community's Ken Jeong has joined the cast and will reportedly play a character named Jackie. Additionally, Robert Delaney, who briefly appeared in Deadpool 2 as Peter, will play someone by the name of DuBros. However, no further details about either of these two characters have been provided.

The casting of two other actors has also been announced -- that of Jordan Bolger and Pallavi Sharda as Cameron and Preeta, respectively. Bolger has appeared in hit shows such as Peaky Blinders and The 100, while Sharda has appeared in the Oscar-nominated Australian film Lion.

These four actors join the likes of Chloë Grace Moretz, Michael Peña and Colin Jost in a film that sees Tom and Jerry removed from their home and relocated to a fancy hotel where a hustler named Kayla has recently found work. As the date of an expensive wedding approaches, it's up to her to remove Jerry if she wants to keep her job. To do that, she hires Tom and, as anyone familiar with the Hanna-Barbera cartoons can imagine, chaos ensues.
