Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature Tom Holland's Spider-Man performing one move inspired by the Marvel's Spider-Man video game.

Ahead of the release of the highly-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home, Holland discussed the acclaimed 2018 PlayStation video game during an interview with Extraordinerd. "I have played the video game, I absolutely loved it. Sony was very generous, they sent us a PS5 while we were shooting Spider-Man and I would play it when we were at home. I loved it, I think the game is amazing. I think it's so fun, the swinging around the city is so well done," Holland said. When asked if  the game inspired No Way Home in any way, Holland first replied "I don't think it was really an [inspiration]," but followed this up by saying, "There's actually one move that Spider-Man does in the game that we took and he does in the film, and it's really cool."

When Marvel's Spider-Man hit PlayStation 4 consoles, the title quickly became one of the best-selling games for the device. Like Holland, critics praised the game for its web-swinging mechanics and traversal systems. The game also earned high marks for its elaborate open world, compelling storyline and Spidey's acrobatic combat style. The actor didn't specify if the "move" in No Way Home was borrowed from the game's movement or its combat, but fans now know to keep an eye out for a familiar maneuver when the third Spider-Man movie swings into theaters.

Marvel's Spider-Man saw new life last year when developer Insomniac Games remastered the title for PlayStation 5 and delivered a standalone spinoff game, Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Insomniac has continued support for both games, most recently by updating Spider-Man: Remastered with multiple costumes from No Way Home. A sequel, Marvel's Spider-Man 2, is also in development.

Holland's Spider-Man will need every Spidey move he can master to make it out of No Way Home, which will see Peter Parker face off against villains from across the multiverse. After his identity was revealed to the world at the end of Spider-Man: Far From Home, the Wall-Crawler turns to Doctor Strange for help. The trailers for No Way Home imply that a botched spell from the Sorcerer Supreme will open the Marvel Cinematic Universe to the greater multiverse, specifically to the worlds of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man movies.

Returning characters from previous Spider-Man films include Alfred Molina as Otto Octavius/Doc Ock, Willem Dafoe as Norman Osborn/Green Goblin and Jamie Foxx as Maxwell Dillon/Electro. Rumors abound that No Way Home will also see the return of Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield as their respective versions of Peter Parker, amounting to a film that integrates elements from 7 Spider-Man films in total.

Spider-Man: No Way Home hits theaters on Dec. 17. Marvel's Spider-Man and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales are available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.
