Sony's animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse not only brought Miles Morales to the big screen but also plenty of other Spider-Men and Women from the Marvel Universe, including Spider-Man Noir, Peni Parker and her suit SP//dr, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham and two different Peter Parkers. However, it turns out another Peter Parker could have appeared in the film: the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Tom Holland.
"At one point I was supposed to be in it," the Spider-Man: Far From Home actor said in an interview with JOE. "There was going to be another Peter Parker… There was like a scene in a train station or something, and it was going to be like an Easter egg. I was going to walk through the background and say like 'Hey, kid' or something. Never happened. Heartbroken."
Holland's Peter Parker will next be seen in Spider-Man: Far From Home, the final film in the MCU's sprawling Phase 3.
Opening July 2, director Jon Watts’ Spider-Man: Far From Home stars Tom Holland, Samuel L. Jackson, Zendaya, Cobie Smulders, Jon Favreau, JB Smoove, Jacob Batalon and Martin Starr, with Marisa Tomei and Jake Gyllenhaal.
